I discovered The Rain King by doing a ****** search. Frank, the owner, came by and did a site survey letting us know what he would do and gave us a rough estimate for the cost of around $6,000. He and his employee began work on Monday April 18. By the end of the first day my wife and I were concerned. They required power and ran an extension cord through a ground-level window into the house. The screen to that window was left open and the extension cord was left plugged in with the receptacle laying outside on the ground. We received rain that night and were happy we caught this issue prior to the rain beginning. On April 19 Frank instructed his crew to take all concrete which needed to be removed as part of the job and place it in a dumpster we rented for another project rather than incurring the cost on his own. We told him this was not acceptable, and the concrete was removed. On April 20 we were told an outdoor sump pump needed to be installed to which we agreed. We suggested multiple options on where to route the water from the sump pump but none of these were followed. The evacuation pipe is above ground and now crosses a walkway which is against code. He also left the sump pump power cord exposed, attached to an extension cord, and did not even wrap the connection with electrical tape. When we offered to pay him for his services and asked to pay by Credit Card he stated he does not take them. When we pointed out that his website says he does he replied "the website says that, but I don't take them". The new concrete is not level where the steps were replaced and in another spot a joint was not sealed which should have been. Since we told him we were having our driveway paved next year he said it will get fixed then. Whenasked him to fix he said "with what?" which is his standard response. He also broke two pavers on our walkway. Frank has a terrible and condescending attitude which led to an argument and me telling him to leave my property. DO NOT USE!!
