I would like to start by saying GN Construction, LLC came highly recommended by a very good friend of mine. I would also like to state that I really thought the owner was an upstanding gentleman because of his work with charitable organizations. He came into our house and sold us a wonderful bag of BS! From the very beginning of our project, we heard nothing but false promises and unattainable timelines. They, the owner, had an answer for everything and mostly that it was our fault for things going wrong or it was our house because it is not a brand new straight and square structure. We have lived in filth for 3 months now and not one aspect of the project is “complete”, at least completed to quality standards or our expectations. Walls are not straight or square, paint is not complete, sheetrock screws can be seen through the tape, the bathroom tile floor is uneven and not laid out properly, and they used the wrong color grout we purchased for the walls (too late now). We now have 4 different levels of sub floor and this is just scratching the surface of all the issues we were left with. To top everything off the lousy *** walked off our job halfway through I guess because I asked too many questions and for an itemized list of time and material for a 5x7 bathroom he is charging me $18,000 for when we supplied ALL the material for said bathroom. GN Construction is also trying to charge us twice for a set of stairs they build out of code the first time, (that is not my fault, I am not the “licensed” contractor, I do not know the building codes!) I could go on and on and on as to what went wrong and what is still wrong. OH, and he is threatening to lien our house for $17,000+, after we gave him a boat load of money up front, he has got some balls! As far as a businessman, he is and was rude and obnoxious to both my wife and I, I stopped dealing with him when he lambasted me over a text asking what time an inspection was, he told me I have his guy’s information, use it. I will stop here as I have nothing nice to say about the owner of the company or the way he runs his business! I would NEVER recommend GN Construction, LLC for any project no matter how big or small. Just an awful experience all around and we are left to pick up the pieces from here.

I invite anyone reading the review above to contact us and we will happily open our books and share a 6” binder stacked with various correspondences we shared with this client. The comments above represent a fraction of the truth. A very difficult client that made our guys working at his house feel very uncomfortable on a daily basis by hovering over them and continuous questions which slowed the construction process immensely. Even with this said and several other delays beyond our control, we basically renovated half a house in approx 40 days. Again documented proof to support all of this. We use a GPS guided software to monitor hours on a job and we have over 450 hours logged at this job site. The work we did to a house that was basically falling apart was a huge effort. We fixed many issues and framed and installed a brand new bathroom. The $18,000 bathroom he speak of consisted of $15,000 of cost and $3,000 of allowances for finish materials which were credited back. This is for a new bathroom: new plumbing, electrical, framing, insulation and everything else. The materials he said he supplied “All”, were a dozen 2x4’s and a few sheets of drywall, which we credited back with exception of finish material which again was credited back. The text he speak of asking me what time an inspection was came at 7:30 pm on a Friday night after an email was sent by a project manager informing the client inspections are scheduled for Monday earlier that day and conversation I personally had with him 2 days prior informing him the same thing. I have 60 pages of screenshots of texts exchanges alone. Texts, emails, calls came 7 days a week in all hours of the day. We tried very hard to please this client and were unable too. They owe us $17k and we will have a court decide what is right and wrong. Construction is tough and never perfect. We simply couldn’t satisfy this client and when he refused to communicate with us further, we simply couldn’t continue working at his house. Even at this point we sent guys to the house to finish the bathroom and a few other items to provide the client with the ability to hire someone else to finish the job. We credited back money for work not completed and attempted to take the high road. The job wasn’t done and any discussion of work being unfinished doesn’t take in consideration that we agree it wasn’t done. We weren’t given the opportunity to finish the job. Everything that is written in this response is documented with a paper trail. I have text messages, daily logs with pics from our project management software and emails. It’s truly unfortunate this job ended like this. We have never had this experience before. We are a busy company with over 100 jobs a year. We are accountable for our actions and try to our best. With this said we don’t wish ill on anyone and we wish this client all the best . Again please contact me if you want to examine our documented support for this terrible situation so you can make up your own mind. Guy ************************
