I started a contract almost 2 years ago with this company to do work on 5 of my porches. Fixing the back porch and also taking all the wood off all porches and replace with trex and rebuild 2 sets of stairs with new railings. Also to remove the posts on both front porches and replace them with new posts. After several times of having to track down the contractor and keep sending many messages to find out when the work would be completed it seemed like. It was almost done almost 2 years later. He said he would return in 2 weeks to complete the work that he has to finish which includes replacing a board that he broke when jacking up my 2nd floor porch and covering all exposed wood on both porches that he left exposed after replacing the posts. He was also supposed to redo the posts because the work he did was not satisfactory and I wanted the posts to be widened and wrapped with aluminum to match the other posts on the other porches. He wrote these things on a new invoice and agreed he would be back in 2 weeks to finish everything. I told him with his track history that I was going to hold 500 dollars to make sure he came back and then I would pay to have the posts redone. He agreed and I messaged him after 2 weeks had passed and he said he would check when his worker would be done and could help him. After sending messages weekly since April 29th with zero response I sent a last message on June 18th explaining my frustration and telling him if I didn't hear back I would be filing a complaint and bringing him to small claims to try to get some of my money returned for the work that is not completed and for the poor work that was done as I am going to have to hire someone else now to complete everything. This has been a nightmare and very frustrating. He is now trying to claim he will come back in a few weeks which I do not believe and he is lying saying he didn't break the board which he did and it is evident. I am so upset and need help.
