I am filing this complaint on behalf of my mother, ***** *******, ** years old & she doesn’t have access to a computer. We are very upset about the pruning job Andrew K**** did for her. She hired him in July or August (not sure of exact date) 2021 to prune her hemlock bushes that line her front yard & along her driveway & to prune a blue spruce. The job was to cut the height down and trim the branches so the tops of the bushes were even. Andrew verbally said cost was $2,400. Mom paid him cash before he finished & he never came back to finish the job. The tops of hemlocks are not trimmed evenly, branches are sticking up in all directions. The driveway bushes look a mess. The blue spruce was never pruned. He never gave mom a receipt or any paperwork. He took advantage of my mother’s age and that she lives alone. He did a bad job; a chop job. We wish you could see how bad it looks when you drive past my mother’s house. While they were trimming the driveway bushes my mom’s neighbor told Andrew that if they stepped on her property to trim my mom’s bushes, she would call the police. Andrew cut half of the tops on those bushes, only on the side of my mom’s property. After the neighbor incident, he went to my mom’s door and asked to be paid. He said he would return when my mom straightened out things with the neighbor. She was very upset of and wasn’t thinking clearly when she paid Andrew in full. Mom thought only the driveway bushes on the neighbor’s side were left unfished. When my mom went outside to see his work, she saw there were many branches left sticking up everywhere; making her front yard look unsightly. We are appalled how bad he left the bushes looking. I have tried to get Andrew to finish the job; see texts. We would like to be refunded $1,200 so we can hire a reputable tree service to fix his poor workmanship; he did less than half the job. We appreciate any help you can give us & are grateful we have a place to turn to for help. Thank you.
