I paid the contractor to finish my attic. The work was not completed even though I have paid in full. The work that has been completed is incorrectly done and not meeting building and electrical code. For example, an electrical sub panel was installed in my bathroom and a toilet installed immediately below it. This is not to code. I complained to the contractor numerous times. I was ignored. The wiring is not complete, there are random junction boxes all over the walls, boxes with wires hanging out. Even the outlets installed may not meet code. The vent pipe was not repaired or boxed in. Work on the walls where pipes are were not boxed in, no fan in the bathroom. Floors were not properly installed, joints are not tight and finishing at the edges of the stairs was not done resulting in cracked flooring. Trim on doors do not have tight corners. We paid for a window to be replaced, he installed unopening glass in the window. This is not was was agreed. They also damaged the walls in my entry way when bringing in material. I have been trying to get him to come fix things for a year now, he never shows up. Basically everything they have done is done wrong, incomplete, and not confirming to code.
