My wife brought our dog to the Shelton, ** Dogtopia for his first stay on 6/30/23. My wife took our dog there for 2 more "paid for" daily visits on 7/1/23. + 7/3/23. On 6/30/23 my wife was told about, and signed an "Enrollment Agreement at $114.00 + /tax for any 3 days a week to begin on 7/3/23. In the meantime my son had agreed to take care the dog until I recovered from major open heart surgery I had on 6/28/23. The last day our dog was at Dogtopia was on 7/5/23. When we got our credit card statement we saw the charge for July 5, 2023 which was in the first 3 day/week period my wife signed up for. We also noticed that we were charged for for four more weekly periods on (July 12,19, 26, +Aug 2, 2023). Plus an unexplained $40.41 charge for 7/2/23 My wife spoke to the manager of the Shelton Dogtopia on 7/24/2023 and they agreed to email a "Enrollment Cancellation Form” as per their rules. We never received this form, so on July 25, 2023 my wife drove to Dogtopia and signed an Enrollment Cancellation. The manager refused to give us a credit for the extra charges and wouldn't allow us to "bank” the days we paid for. We now understand that the Enrollment was a non-refundable "recurring subscription” which was not fully explained to my wife when she signed the agreement. In addition to the weeks we did not take our dog there at all, we are still being charged what seems like a 14 day period after signing the "Enrollment Cancellation” form” fee. We're still wondering why no one called us or tried to find out why we would sign such an agreement and then not show up for several weeks. My wife called the manager and was told that he wouldn’t come to the phone. When she went to their office to see him, his staff said he wasn’t there, not realizing my wife had already seen him from the lobby.as she came in. As of 8/2/2023 that amount we are asking credit for is $464.96 for the four weeks charged plus the charge of $40.41 on July 2, 023, for a total of $525.37.
