    Status:

i purchased a new air conditioner last september after i called allen plumbing following a leak can ceiling collapse. i was told old unit had issue could no longer be repaired due to freon issue no longer available and age of unit. It was approx 18 yrs old. i was quoted a price and agreed to have install started. It was done in September and had no use until this summer. When they came and did the 2 week check, it did not start and technician said he must not have had the power connection tight. when turned on in june, again would not start. another tech came up said old power box in attic was not replaced, used fuses and they were old. he doubted they had replacements but scratched existing fuses to get contact and it was running. Then again when i turned unit on nothing. Told service about the last technician and they came out with new power box, then would not start and said it was a bad thermostat, then said never mind it was not tight. Then when I turned it on next time I found leaks on ceiling, so called again. this was the original issue last summer. tech cae and said they would cover everything and went into attic. told me the unit was tilted and the drip pan could not sense water build up. thought previous tech may have leaned on it when replacing power box. then said he found condensation under duct work and maybe duct work needed extended to create better air flow. ( why was that not determined in finding appropriate size of unit) then he decided to add another drip pan for under the duct work he felt was leaking due to condensation. i did point out that leak or stains in ceiling did not line up with area he felt was cause. yet another diagnosis then occurred and he unwrapped duct work unit and said he found 2 tears in duct work and that must have been from original install 18 years ago? Then i was called and was told i would be charged $300 for the visit i did lose my cool and was screaming. i demanded to speak with Mr Allen twice before.
