I leased my brand new car in April 2021. In February 2022 the engine failed. ******* Volkswagen Old Saybrook - had my brand-new car ( that I continued to pay for ) for over four months this year. When I picked the vehicle up after the initial three months (no one even had the decency to communicate with me during that entire time), the exterior of my car was damaged - dents, dings and scratches. Which prevented me from a lease buyback with ** ** *******. They finally offered to complete the body work after 6 more months in October 2022, when I complained of the vw app telling me i should stop driving due to MORE mechanical issues. They had the vehicle for another month when a bird made a home inside the car. They let me know but assured me it was not a problem… When I picked up my car on Tuesday, the bodywork was incomplete, and my entire interior was covered in bird feces. They sent someone out who wiped a few areas and went on her way, leaving ME responsible for the remaining bird excrement on my interior. The management staff could not be bothered and didn't even offer an apology. Do not work with VW of OS. Please do not give them your business. Find a dealership outside the ******* auto group, take care of yourself and think before choosing to work with them because they will not take care of you. This was my first brand-new car. This was so exciting for me, they chewed me up and spit me out- a disappointment to say the very least…I’ve since been told over 50 more horror stories about their ethics since sharing my story. They’re out to use and abuse consumers and take their money. They have to be stopped. People work hard for their money they should be shown respect at the very least at the businesses they’re spending it.
