This business was retained to move my husband and my mother in law’s furniture from their old apartment to a townhouse on 11/13/21 from 12p till 3p. They were paid in full up front through moving help. They then changed the time from our original request to 1p-4p and then contacted us again to change the start time till 1:45p and didn’t show up until 2p. They proceeded to load up the furniture which was all shrink wrapped. One of the dressers has a barn door latch and slide which they removed the clothing due to it opening several times and strapped it with the tie down strap to a furniture dolly. It was the last item they brought in the house before informing us they had a personal issue and needed to leave causing us to have to unload 1/4 of the truck alone. On 11/14/21 my husband discovered that the door wouldn’t slide open on his dresser and contacted the owner who stated he would send someone out the week of the 15th to look at it. By the time 11.27/21 came we never received a call nor any explanation of why they hadn’t come to look at it. After reading his reviews I noticed that multiple people had had the same issues showing up late, leaving early or damaging the furniture and giving the runaround about getting it fixed. I then notified the owner by email that this needed to be resolved by 11/29/21 or I was contacting my attorney. He responded by claiming he was being threatened and felt unsafe with a “ police escort” to come out and fix the damage his movers had caused. He said any further contact or response on our part to resolve this would be received on “ death wars”. I contacted moving help to express my concern for a repeat offender being listed on their website for playing games with customers after damaged was done. He never even offers to refund us for the money he was paid due to his workers leaving early. He has lied numerous times that he was in contact with us and that he told us we needed to wait until after the holidays.
