    On May 3rd, I went to ******** K****** at Phenix Salon in ***** ***** for a color removal treatment and new color. Declined an estimate at the initial 15-minute consultation because she kept stressing the whole process was unpredictable, and she could not guarantee what process would work on my hair before trying things out. I didn't see a point in an estimate when she couldn't even tell me what I would have done. I was willing to pay as long as I got one solid color and the old teal color I had was completely removed. She said she understood and guaranteed what I wanted could be done. She attempted a color removal treatment. When that didn't seem to be working she applied heat to it, stating it didn't matter whether or not the instructions on the box warned against it in danger of hair breakage. She was adamant about this process from the start instead of bleaching to preserve the health of my hair, so this confused me. When that did nothing she went in with a mixture of bleach and shampoo anyways. After this she proceeded to throw red dye over my hair, promising it wouldn't show through. After putting a brown dye over this, the end result was nothing like promised. The roots of my hair are a vibrant red, the back is multiple shades of brown, and worst of all there is CLEARLY still green throughout the whole left side of my head. She charged $425, throwing out justifications such as the fact it took her 4 hours. Had she not been so incompetent the process would have taken significantly less time. When asked why the top of my head appeared to be red, she made up something about the lighting in her studio. Knowing nothing about pricing, I paid and walked out intending to consult with another hairdresser before requesting a refund. As suspected, this was a ridiculous sum of money for poor results. When asked nicely for a partial refund, she refused and proceeded to argue over text. Considering the fact I have to pay to fix it, I don't want to pay more than $150.
