      Warranty requested shipment of ******** amplifier 08/09/2024. Unit repair stalled 12 months untouched and now demanding money for "non warranty repair". Police officers sent twice to residence to confirm that Steve S***** was even present. Attached documents show that Manufacturer (********) requested that I send my amplifier for a warranty check and listed Amplifier Repair Services on their website. Now same repair facility is denying ever acknowledging the warranty status.

      To BBB,

      Please note that this complaint has been resolved as of 9.24.2025.  The actual complaint involved four parties; the complainant, the Manufacturer located in ********, the distributor located in ***** and Manitou Systems (the post warranty repair center). The complainant purchased the equipment from the Distributor and had warranty failures which were not completely resolved. The Distributor ceased business operations and Manitou Systems took over a parts inventory and (only) new after warranty service work. The Complainant sent his product to Manitou believing all labor and parts were to be covered under warranty by Manitou Systems. Manitou Systems did perform successful repairs to the equipment in June 2025 and reported back in writing to the Complainant. The Complainant then responded that he would contact the Manufacturer for no-cost warranty repairs. No contact with the Complainant until August after I sent an invoice for the labor, parts and a price quote for the return shipment. He complained and I informed him that Manitou provides only post warranty services. The Manufacturer finally engaged and committed to assume Manitou's repair invoice price. The  Complainant's equipment was shipped back on 9-24-2025 closing out this issue.

      Manitou Systems Inc. (***********************) performs is the designated U.S. repair center for an Amateur Radio equipment company called "********" (*************************)

      In early August of 2024, I sent my ******* radio amplifier to Steve S*****, owner of Manitou Systems, for repair, after confirming with him that he was able to perform the repair.

      As of April 15th, 2025, it remains in his possession, unrepaired. Lately, he is not returning text messages, does not answer his phone, and is not responding in anything resembling a timely manner to e-mails.

      At various times, he has advised that he has been "busy", has had emergencies at his home, and that he is working on diagnosing the problem, but there is no evidence that he has actually performed any work.

      As of last week, I have directed him to pack up the equipment send me a bill for the whatever work he has performed, and ship the equipment back to me, unrepaired. He has been 100% unresponsive since.
