Unfortunately the woman who cleaned our home from Clean My Space on January 21st backed into the mailbox post with her car and broke it. She was very sorry and immediately called her company to report the incident (I appreciated her honest approach).
I took the initiative to contact a local landscaper who was willing to replace the post for $655. The company told me they preferred to use their own "subcontractor" who I later learned was the owner's husband. As far as I know he is not a professional contractor or landscaper. He came to our home in an unmarked car and spent hours disrupting our landscaping (perennials) to dig up the old post. He then replaced the post with sika post fix instead of cement as I requested. He did not mount the mailbox to the post. Unfortunately, now the mailbox door is broken and does not stay closed.
The company is refusing to replace the mailbox.

I asked the company multiple times if they would use a landscaping company to fix the mailbox post from the beginning, and they refused to do so. When I asked who the contracted person/company who replaced it was, I was not given the name of the person nor a company he worked for.

Unfortunately we have not heard from this business regarding a resolution to our broken mailbox and post.  I would like to formally file a complaint against CleanMySpace for the way they handled this issue.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/10/2025

    Good morning, how are you?

Before addressing the situation further, I would like to clarify that I received the first notice from the BBB regarding this case on April 1st. Upon reviewing the history, I see that the notice received on April 1st was actually marked as a second notice — meaning the initial notice was never received by my business.

Unfortunately, missing that first notice put my business in a difficult position and may have unintentionally given the impression that I was not responsive or did not care about the client and the situation. That is certainly not the case, as we take every concern seriously and strive to maintain strong, respectful relationships with all our clients.

Since receiving the April 1st notice, I have been in touch with Johanna, and from our communication, it appears that the matter is being addressed directly between the client and my business.

Please let me know if any further action is needed on my part.
    Best regards,
    Kate

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The business owner did reach out to me on 4/9/2025 to accept responsibility for not repairing the broken mailbox in the appropriate manner and offered to compensate me with a free cleaning service.  Since I have already cancelled my services and will be moving out of the home on 4/12/25, I declined this offer.

    Sincerely,
