    I brought my 2006 **** ******
    vin #*****************
    in for service to Mattie’s on Thurs. Nov. 30 2023. Mechanic said they needed to replace the Rear Axle cost quote = $2600.00. The mileage on the car was 135,421 miles!
    I picked the vehicle up on Dec. 11, 2024. Mileage again was recorded on Invoice number 28271 as 135421 miles.
    The invoice came to $2,696.09.
    On June 9th 2024 the rear Axel froze up! Both wheels would not roll. The mileage on the vehicle was 136111. The Rear Axle only lasted 690 miles! I had ******* ****** pick up the vehicle in ******* **. The tow truck driver was named Roger. He had to drag the truck up on to the flat bed trailer with a chain because the rear wheels would not roll. I have a photo of this and the truck 1/2 hour prior to being towed and there was nothing leaking from anywhere under the vehicle! Since the rear axel was frozen I had ******* ****** tow the vehicle to Mattie’s Service Station who did the rear axle repair only 690 miles earlier. The tow truck driver had to jerk the truck backwards off of the trailer which I have video of. The jerking motion stressed the transmission seal causing it to be pulled and causing the transmission fluid to leak. The next day when Matty an employee called me to tell me it wasn’t the rear axle but the transmission that failed and needed to be repaired and very blatantly called me a liar as I told him the rear wheels were frozen. He became argumentative so I just told him I’ll tow the vehicle from his garage to another.
    After, selling the vehicle a new owner who brought the vehicle to a garage in Brooklyn New York they assessed the rear end Pinion slipped which caused the rear end to freeze up and that the dragging and tugging the vehicle onto the tow truck caused damage to output seal of the transmission.
    I would like Mattie’s service station to offer me monetary compensation for a rear axle they sold me and installed that was defective and broke under 1000 miles!
