5 starsHome Instead has been a lifesaver! My mother needed care during the day while I work and run errands. The caregivers were wonderful with her. She had a great time and felt like some of them were part of the family. I could not have continued to work without their assistance. The communication with the office staff was everything I could hope for. They kept me aware of everything going on with schedules and always arranged extra coverage when we needed it. I highly recommend.Home Instead

5 starsWe have had a good experience with Home Instead’s Middletown, CT, office. I understand that each branch of Home Instead is essentially a separate business but had heard good things about the organization in another state as well.
We have found the management to be extremely responsive. And we have had more than a dozen caregivers from Home Instead covering various shifts. Many of the caregivers have been excellent. There have been a few we were dissatisfied with and we have been proactive in asking for substitutes. Home Instead has been quick to take care of our requests. In general, we would say the quality of care and personal demeanor from the individual caregivers has been better than that which we experienced with two other companies. Home Instead is a bit more money than other companies, but they are evidently more selective in their hiring process.Review fromLorna S

4 starsMy mom and dad moved to Connecticut 2 years ago and I hired Home Instead to care for my mother who suffers with dementia and weakness causing her to fall. The caregivers and management have been very supportive and give my mother the care she needs. My mother recently was hospitalized and is in rehab now which required additional coverage. Home Instead quickly filled the additional shifts and works very hard to ensure mom gets the coverage she needs. I highly recommend Home Instead.Review fromMargaret H

5 starsHome Instead in ********** ** was there to help my family recently during a difficult time. The staff at Home Instead really went above and beyond to make things as easy, stress free and smooth as possible. They worked off hours and over the weekend to ensure everything was taken care of and were available anytime I called. Comments like, “we will take care of this”, “we’ve got you covered”, “let us worry about that” went beyond world class service! They recognized the stress and strains their customers are under, they cared, and they really helped!
I also had the opportunity to meet some of the caregivers who recently helped my family and I can unequivocally say that the title CAREgiver is really appropriate here! They genuinely cared and I could see this in how they acted, in the updates they provided and in everything they did. It is really hard to trust a stranger with caring for someone you love, however, it is a lot easier when you see them treating that person with the same love and respect you do.Home Instead
