We contracted with Hamza, the owner of Meriden Makeovers in Apr of 2023 to in stall a slider door with a 50% deposit to schedule the start date of the work, which at that time was May 18th 2023. In the weeks following the projected start date of the work, Hamza, began providing reasons as to delays in the start date of the work. Each time a new start date was provided, the day before or that actual day a new reason for delay was given. This continued for several weeks. I’ve contacted Hamza for a refund of my money to which I’ve had no response. I’m taking this matter to small claims court.

He did a bad job, on my drain pipe going along side of house in pieces kept falling apart, never gave me money back for it. Put in a shelf above stove is falling out had to go somewhere else.

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW Job start date 2/7/21 Job completion date 2/15/21 I’m glad I gave Meriden Makeovers another chance. After a slight delay in scheduling, and an honest talk, Hamza was able to complete the job and I am extremely happy. Hamza replaced an old tub, moved pipes, removed an old insert and installed new tile. He definitely knows what he’s doing. He’s a great contractor, always on time, very pleasant, definitely cared to make sure I’m happy with the outcome. New shower/tub is amazing, looks beautiful and works great. I have gotten many compliments already. Definitely recommend. I’m looking forward to working with Hamza and Meriden Makeovers in the future.

Would not recommend paid them in full to do do a job when job was finished everything went to **** including water damage to laundry room they promised to fix . Tile popped up in kitchen and bathroom they never used backer boards just tiled over linoleum. Sheetrock in bathroom was terrible the joints cracked. Hamza promised to fix everything but he had a excuse why he couldn’t come when he said he was on his way. The list goes on !!! I was going to take him to court he promised to fix everything just give him time got to the point where I’ll let the courts deal with him now.

***Do Not Use*** Meriden Makeovers. Master bathroom renovation and they damaged personal property, created leaks that made water come thru my downstairs kitchen ceiling, and the work was inconsistent with grout issues and chipped titles used. I was awarded by the courts to get restitution and money for damages and they continue to not pay. Getting Marshall’s office involved now

I was in need of a contractor, so I went **** ****** They gave me this contractor. He came in October 2020 and looked over the job and said it would be done by November. Well that didn’t happen. I had given him 1/2 of the amount that he asked for. He told me I would have to wait until the weather was better. So April 2021 came and they took my little porch down. Well, that was okay. But it was a very raining April. Mind you I had to purchase the material which was over $2,000. They didn’t come back for a month. Every time he said that the workers were coming, he call and said next week. This kept on going for quite a while. When they finally came, They drilled 2 holes. I thought it was odd. When they started to build I saw a lot of things wrong, so I emailed pictures to the inspector. He emailed me back and said stop building. Things were all wrong. The wood, nails etc that were purchased are all wrong and it needs to come down. Hamza wanted to charge me additional $5,000 on top of the $5,000 00. He never came to the sight to see what the workers were doing. 2 inspectors came and showed them everything that was wrong. They weren’t will to take it down with out charging me the extra money. I contacted Consumer Protection and that was the end of him ever coming back. I don’t recommend this company. They aren’t reliable and they purchase the wrong material. Oh and one more thing, the specifications were for a deck when they should have been for a closed in porch. He wouldn’t submit the correct specs either.
