We contracted with Next Level Building in November of 2023 to remodel our kitchen, install two windows, and paint the entire first floor of our home at ** ****** ***** *****, in ********** **. The cabinets were ordered, but came in wrong (due to the cabinet company's error). The cabinets were reordered and came in in September of 2024. We paid Next Level Building, $13,982.50 as a down payment in November of 2023. We paid an additional $15,570 at various times during the job for cabinet installation, electrical work, sheetrocking, etc. During the job, we had two workers quit, as we learned later, because he wasn't paying them. He bought in individuals, who we again learned later, who were not certified to do electrical work and plumbing. The final straw for us occured on Sunday, November 9, 2024. Wil F*******, the contractor for Next Level Building came to the work site under the influence of some substance. He was asking for more money again and started swearing loudly. He had a 3rd electrician working on the project that day (who was certified). He started again asking for more money and was yelling and swearing. I told him I wasn't going to listen to him and walked away from him. He then asked to speak with me again quietly and told me at that time he was on a substance, *****, and that his company had no money because he had misappropriated the funds from our job. He then left the site and the electrician, who was certified, worked the remainder of the day. The next day, I told Wil F******* he wasn't to return to the job and sent him a letter outlining the reasons. Currently we still need to have electrical work, painting, two windows to be installed (which we paid for already), and finish work on the cabinets. We have paid him $29,462.50. It will probably cost us another $20,000 to now complete the work.

I signed a contract with this business on April 17, 2024. The contract was for 3 windows - a 10ft bay window and 2 standard size windows. The contract also included the removal of a retractable awning. As of August 23, 2024 nothing has been done. he told me the bay window came in broken and that he reordered it. I have my doubts about this. i don't think the window was ever ordered. plus the other windows were never put in and the awning was never taken down. he hasn't been at my residence since April 17, 2024.

now he's is giving me the run around. he won't answer my texts or calls.

he actually agreed that if the window didn't come in by August 21, 2024 he would refund my money and cancel the entire contract. i paid the company an $8,000 deposit. I just want my money back.
