We decided to put our home on the market and try a for sale by owner. I found this website (isoldmyhome.com) where you they would put it on the MLS and it would populate to other websites. This was online for 2 months, and since we moved within that period, we decided to list this with a realtor. The realtor indicated that they couldn't list it on the MLS until it was taken off from isoldmyhome.com. When I tried to put our listing on hold, the website didn't give me a choice other than to cancel this listing in order to get it off the MLS. (temporarily lifting this does not remove this from the MLS)

Fast forward, my home still hasn't sold within our 60 days with the realtor, so I sent an email to isoldmyhome.com to perhaps list this again since I paid for 12 months, but only used 2.

They informed me that because I canceled this, I would have to pay another $399 to list this...

Now I'm frustrated, as here is my issue:

On the website, it clearly states that you get 12 months for $399. It's not until you try to put this on hold, there is NO OTHER CHOICE but to cancel this to get it off the MLS. This is not stated anywhere on the website when you purchase your 12 months.

This is FALSE advertising, as I never received the 12 months that I originally paid for, and I had no choice but to cancel this to get it removed from the MLS.

**Note: I tried to potentially get this listed again, however, I received a response from CS that states they would not be interested in working together moving forward (see attached).

Conclusion: I would like a refund of $332.50. (I will gladly pay for the 2 months that I had this listed with them ($399/12 = $66.50 per month)

I'm sorry you feel this way but unfortunately what you are upset about is something that is not offered with our service. In fact, what you are saying we should do is something that is not offered with any service. You can not cancel a time based service and then reactivate. For example, if you lease an apartment for 1 year. You can not move in for 1 month and then move out for 2 months and then move back in, it doesn't work that way. Another example is a Netflix subscription, you can not subscribe for 1 month, watch everything you want in a day and then cancel and then reactivate down the road under the same 1 month subscription, it doesn't work that way. I'm pretty sure you understand this and are just trying to use the BBB to bully me into giving you another listing for free after you changed your mind and I don't agree with this tactic.

I am rejecting this response because you are incorrect in your statement.  You can definitely put a memberships and other things you pay for a year for "on hold" and then continue to use them for the balance of the months that you paid for.  ****, the ****, and even ****** ***** will let you do this.

My problem is that no where on your website does it say anything about this -- it just says you get 12 months.  Bottom line:  I paid for 12 months, and I didn't use 12 months.

    Sincerely,

    ******* * ******* ******

They immediately contracted my *** listing to another company, List with *******, who has repeatedly failed to provide accurate information, despite repeat attempts to get it corrected, which is necessary for a home to be listed for sale. At least 4 days of potential listing time has been lost and it is still unlisted due to them having the wrong address on the listing and then legal documents. Property address is *** ********* **** ***** ** and they keep using my billing address *** **** ***** ***** ******* **

Hi - I think there was a lot of confusion on this listing and I apologize for any inconvenience. The customer was refunded on 3/23 and was communicated to them at that time. I believe this complaint was submitted while we were working on the refund. I believe the customer is good to go and wish them well on their home sale.
