I would like to report Patrice R****** and her spa The Lash Lab by Patrice for misrepresentation of service she claims to provide. I signed up for lash classes with her where i had originally asked her if she is accredited to provide 50 hours classes after which I can apply for my license.Patrice told me this was service she offered. Than I paid $1000 and started classes with her. She never issued a receipt to me.Every time I asked her for it she says something is wrong with her computer, she cant send it to me in a email or print it out.She spent with me only 2 hours theory class instead of at least 8 hours.During practice time I was bringing my own models to practice on them.Every time I had any type of question regarding lashing business, her answer was to do a research and look it up on ******.The reason I signed up for classes is to learn in school, not from ******,and to be able to get my own license and open up the business. When I was almost done with my 50 hours of practice I asked Patrice when she is going to do with me the next step which is applying for license and setting up the social media. Than Patrice started avoiding me.I went to apply by myself to the ***** ** ** and was asking her for accreditation number. She sent me a email with application for accreditation, not an actual accreditation number.Patrice was very rude every time I tried to communicate with her.It is very clear that Patrice claims to provide these accreditation classes but is not certified herself. Completely misrepresenting what her business is all about.During this time period of going to her spa I experience a lot of discrimination well.I asked for my money back for everything I went through, and Patrice told me I was harassing her.Essentially my money is taken and did not provide me what I paid for and isnt even legally accredite ro provide these clasess. I would appreciate if her business was investigated. If needed I have all correspondence between Patrice and I.
    Sincerely,

    Business Response

    Date: 05/21/2024

    Dear BBB,
I am sending this letter in response to a complaint that was submitted by **** ******* on 4/22/2024. She took my Beginner’s eyelash extension course on February 18, 2024 and this course is a 50 hour certification training. I do break that down into 6 Days. In that time she would come in with her model to practice on so that she can complete her training and practice the skill of lashing.
In my certification course there’s a 6 day training and theory portion in which the instructor (Myself) will go through a training manual by chapter, teaching each student the knowledge of lashing, lash mapping, history, infection control, different lash styling techniques and placement along with how to place lashes, product knowledge, how to make money, how to prepare for clients, photos, social media marketing, how to get clients, lash retention, how to get products so much more. Each student is provided a kit valued at $500 with all the products that’s needed to make money lashing as well as practicing to perfect the skill. We started with hands on practice so that **** can get a feel of how and what lashing is. We then went to the theory and went through the manual, she took notes and asked questions. We went through this portion  then I provided lunch for her. After lunch her model, that she was instructed to provided came in so that she would apply the application of individual lash extensions on. This was complete which we did go over the time but it’s expected. As most of my students are starting as beginners and I do understand it takes practice and time and patience to learn a skill. Once she completed the classes she received her certificate of completion which I will attach to this email along with photos. **** was also informed of continuing her hours and that she would still have to have a model each time. When she signed up for this class she reached out because she said she did her research and she found my business online and went through my website. Once she went through my site, she then emailed me, I suggested for her to come in so I can show her the space and answer any questions she may have. At that time she agreed and said it was what she wanted to do. I did let her know that she will be receiving a certificate from my training which is also stated on my website. This student has left a unpleasant ****** review, reported me to the police for stealing, put in several complaints against my business and repeated text messages to my personal phone. I’ve done all that I can for her and I’d like to see this resolved.

    Sincerely
