I recently reviewed my credit report because I had been receiving notifications stating that something had been sent to collections, and when I looked at my credit report, I saw this bill, Eversource, for $779.93. I have been in financial hardship, also applied for fuel assistance. I will need Eversource to remove this from my credit report. and set me up with low monthly payments, while I reapply for fuel assistance.

We understand the customer’s concerns and appreciate the opportunity to review this matter.
Our records indicate the outstanding balance was referred to an external collection agency after the account became inactive. Once a balance has been placed with a third-party collection agency, Eversource no longer has the ability to establish payment arrangements or modify credit reporting on that balance.
At this time, the only option for discussing monthly payment arrangements or settlement options is for the customer to contact the collection agency directly, as they now manage the account and associated reporting.
Payment plans through Eversource are only available when there is active electric service in the customer’s name.
We encourage the customer to continue pursuing fuel assistance, as approval may provide additional options. Eversource remains available to assist with any future service establishment or billing questions.Customer Answer

I received an email on December 9, 2025 that my electric would be turned off on December 22, 2025 if I did not come up with $6102.00 that I have in back charges. When I looked into a payment plan I would need to pay at least $450.00 to enroll in one, with the monthly payments coming to $650.00 thereafter. I have been on a $225.00 payment plan for the last couple years due to financial hardship. I have paid $225.00 within the last 30 days. I now have 13 days to come up with $450.00 or have my power shut off. I am a single mother of a 16 year old diagnosed with autism. I do not receive child support. I am in debt with credit card companies. I attempted to pay $225.00 today, as I got paid today, but Eversource is unwilling to take any payment less than $450.00. It is unreasonable to give someone 13 days to come up with that type of money and then expect $650.00 per month thereafter when I've been paying $225.00 for years.

I am filing this complaint because the company continues to report inaccurate information on my credit report. These errors are harming my credit score and negatively impacting my financial well-being, despite my repeated efforts to resolve the issue directly with them. As the problem remains unresolved and continues to cause damage, I am seeking the assistance of the Better Business Bureau to ensure a thorough and timely review. I request that the company promptly correct or remove the incorrect entries from my credit report. Thank you for your attention and assistance in resolving this matter.

Eversource sent a letter about work being done that needed to have electric shut off for 7 hours. That was yesterday I called to confirm they said yes confirmed. Hours later I found out from my neighbor Eversource could not find enough workers to do the job so it was bumped to tomorrow. Now it is tomorrow and I have heard nothing from them. Waiting another day when I could be working!!
This company has no regard for their clients!! They just don’t give a damn!!

My acct#REMOVED; I reached out to Eversource numerous times due my bill being high when i don't even use my heater. I reached out to a company, and they came out and mentioned that my meter is broken. I spoke to Eversource and they stated that is fine and how they copy the meter reading from the prior year and they do not need to come out to get a reading. However, how long the meter have been broken. For my bill to be 500 is not fair and knowing they are guessing my meter reading to bill me. They enrolled me in a payment plan and then send me a 3,000 bill. I called and then that rep stated they never seen that total. It's so unethical and unfair. I am on social security and make a set amount per month. I asked Eversource to come out and fic my meter, I asked them to help with the bill, they don't. For years I been dealing with this and no resolution. I found out this year its broken. How are you charging us without a reading. I will lose my home because I cannot afford a 1,000 heat bill with no usage of heat and rent. this issue needs to be reviewed by leadership because the regular staff no not help!

Recently I have been dealing with a health issue that has taken me away from some of my everyday routine. In October 2025 I made double payments on my gas and electric billsI paid $211 twice annd I paid $157 twice.
Upon discovering my error I reached out to Eversource to inform them. I spoke to a service rep named Joy. She first asked if I wanted to apply the pmts to future bills, my response was no because I am on a fixed income. She sent me links for forms to fill out to start a return process via checks. She also suggested I might want reach out to my bank. I did reach out to my bank, they i investigated the matter and credit my account for the extra payments. I also completed the Eversource forms. I recd reimbursements checks from Eversource late October. I did not cash the checks because my bank had already credited my account. I recd letters for my gas and electric account dated November 14, 2025 informing me that each account was being charged a $20 return payment fee since the bank didn’t honor the payment. That is not accurate. The bank only credited me once.

A review of the accounts show that we received the double payments and issued a refund for the 2nd payment. The payment that was returned was from the November 3rd payment that was made. There will be no adjustments to the account.Customer Answer

EVERSOURCE is pushing back on the size of my solar project claiming it it’s too large. But they failed to realize is they’re using historic information prior to this house being built and occupied by my family.
The solar company I’m working with on my project is essentially at a standoff with ever source. I do not believe I’m being treated fairly hence my reason for issuing this complaint. Below is the communication I just sent ever source and I will attach a copy of my latest electric bill, clearly showing my usage much higher thanthey are projecting.
The project is time sensitive due to incentives going away in 2026 and the project will cost me much more. I believe this is a misunderstanding or a lack of common sense.
The project size of an estimated 19,000 kWh is appropriate for my family and this particular location.
Below is a communication sent directly to EVERSOURCE.
Solar project number IREMOVED
My understanding is that you’re using historic information at this new residence and a manual to configure the size of my project however, I just moved into the home September of this year. Please see the attached EVERSOURCE bill that shows the last three months of usage. This three months does not include a hot tub that was just installed this week and a second electrical vehicle that I’ll be purchasing this week.
That said, can someone please contact me as soon as possible so I can get my project underway.
It is the last quarter of electrical usage on this property located at REMOVED., REMOVED. That is an accurate proxy of the six individuals and the appliances that were installed at this residence.
If you also need to see historic information, my prior residence was REMOVED. At this residence, I averaged 15,000 kWh per year and also had a solar project. My new residence is a larger home and did not include the heat pump, two electric vehicles, and a hot tub.
Thanks
