I hired Rob to do 3 small jobs for me-1. Rehang a bi-fold closet door 2. replace a radiator in my bathroom with one from my kitchen 3. Add an under cabinet light in my kitchen. I contacted Rob on Oct. 31 to see if he would be interested in doing these 3 jobs for me. He stopped by on 11/1- On 11/2 he said it would be $250 and he would need 1/2 upfront. On 11/7 he stopped by and I gave him $125 in cash. He came on 11/10 to do the 3 jobs. He got to the house and said he ordered the wrong light so he couldn't do it that day. He took pictures of the lights that I already had in the kitchen. He "fixed" the closet door and rehung it. He removed the heat register from my kitchen and put it in the bathroom. I wrote him a check for the other $125. He said he would call me when the light for the kitchen came in. The next morning I tried the heat in the bathroom and it did not go on. I texted him and asked if he would take a look at it when he came to do the light. I never got a response from him. In the meantime I tried the closet door which would not open or close without getting stuck and I had to lift it up to get it to work. On Nov. 13 I sent a text and told to cancel putting in the light and asked him to refund me at least $100 since he didn't do the light, the heat in the bathroom didn't work and the closet door didn't open and close properly. I have not received an answer from him. His wife responded to me saying I was a liar and that he did everything correctly. She also said he would return $100 to me, but never did. I would like to be refunded the $250 that I paid him as I am hiring someone else to fix the two jobs he did incorrectly and to put in the light I paid for but never received. I unfortunately do not have the money to hire someone to fix what he started and to put in the undercabinet light
