I visit the Advanced Specialty Care offices on 7/20 to see Dr. B*** - it was a referral from my primary physician. I had a simple question to the doctor: Do I have deviated septum and if yes, what would be the process to fix it so I snore less. I arrived at the requested time, was brought to a separate room where a nurse comes in and says "she needs to spray me with Xylocaine so the doctor can see inside my nostril with his instrument". I asked if that was standard and if I could opt out of it, she said "it`s standard and without it he can`t look at you". I asked if there was an extra cost and she said "this is part of the consultation fee and standard procedure". I then proceeded to allow her to spray me, she did, doctor Bard came in 3 minutes later, used this flashlight-like device (like what they use to check children`s ears) and looked at my nose for less then a full minute. He then proceeded to tell me I did NOT have a deviated septum and nothing he can do for me. The whole consultation took less than 15 minutes, in and out. I now get a bill from the office, for SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS (yes, $625!!!) for what they call "surgery", which the fine print reads "nasal endoscopy". Given that 1) I asked if that "spray" had additional cost and was informed NO, 2) I wasn`t given a cost, a good-faith estimate or any sort of option to opt-out of the ridiculously pricey spray and 3) the whole consultation took less than 15 minutes, I think this characterizes fraudulent practice and at the very minimum is misleading customers to take advantage and over price things. Their billing department couldn`t care less, won`t return calls and when you win the lotto and get them on the phone, they won`t work with you and don`t care again. Horrible practice that should be out of business.

I was hurt while standing in line to pay a bill behind one other person. An employee came shooting out the door next to the payment window and slammed into me with her weight and the weight of the door, I was hit on the upper left arm into the rotator joint. I saw stars, landed on one foot and was Cleary hurt. The person who slammed into me stayed with me and kept asking if I was OK and said she "almost put me out". I agreed. As soon as I could catch my breath and the initial pain subsided, I paid the bill and got out of there. I wanted to get away from there and sit down. This was seen by the person paying the bill in front of me and the person receiving bill payments at the time. I ,later, did not hear from the office to ask of my welfare. I have tried to just let the pain heal. After a week when I was waking up at night with an achy shoulder joint, I called to ask about an accident report. It is extremely difficult to get through to anyone to talk to about this. I tried several times, 4 or more. . I got responses twice on an answering machine when I wasn't home. Finally I talked with someone who said she would send me an incident report. An Employee incident report was sent to me...one to be filled out by the EMPLOYEE involved in an incident within 48 hours of the incident. That didn't happen. Mostly the report covered the phone calls to me when I wasn't home and the facts were wrong. The person who slammed into me wasn't named. Is this company that lame? Calling and getting through is an 1/2 hour event if possible at all. I have been there 3 times for appointments lately. Different people are working there each time. Last time it was an urgent appointment made 2 days before the appointment time. When I arrived, they had no appointment for me listed. I waited in the car and went in 2 MINUTES after the appointment time. I stood in line and was told I was late. I explained that it was 6 minutes late and that I was inside standing in line. Why the poor treatment?
