"A horrendous experienceI would encourage anyone looking to do business with Renewal By Andersen to look elsewhereFirst, the price quoted was 2X higher than real cost as quoted by 3 other glass companies, one of whom we have had already install the glassSo aside from excessive cost, the customer service & follow up was horribleWe agreed & signed a contract with Chris K***** who was tough to reach & tougher to get information from with follow up questions I hadWorse still, after the initial measurements taken by Chris to prepare the quote, we had 2 separate measurement appointments which was very unprofessional & after the visual inspection done along with the measurements, Andersen gave us reasons why our 16’ floor to ceiling windows (2 below & 2 above), could not be installed & thankfully soClearly the job, however “ complicated” could be & has been doneAt half the cost & with the highest grade of window, insulation, & clarityAs I shopped & became more educated, & heard stories from other vendors & homeowners, I learned that my experience was not unusual in that:They quote excessively high & use their name recognition & “reputation” to support & entice homeowners who like me didn’t shop & know any better, to “buy in”Also, I was told it was not uncommon for them to walk awayThankfully, I found a great company to work with, who was highly responsive & professional & who had no issues or problems in removing & installing my “custom” picture windows which had “odd” geometric angles ( upper 2)From initial meeting to installation the job took 3 weeks, which was the length of time it took Chris & his team at Andersen to quote & measure & “”inspect”, before even ordering the glassIn summary, unless you want to be RIPPED OFF, & work with a slick salesman who was not informative or responsive & not oriented to customer service & satisfaction, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN"
