    The date of the transaction was 10/3/2025. The amount of the money I paid the business was $50.00. The business commitment was to provide food-adjustment lifestyle due to being diagnosed with pre-diabetes. The nature of the dispute was I had a medical emergency with a family member in my household and needed to take them to the ER. This situation caused me to miss my appointment with Dietitian Driven LLC. I notified them 3 hours in advance with text message through their official app and called their office and left a detail voicemail. They wanted me to attend the appointment and not lose the $50 versus me taking care of my family. The business, Dietitian Driven LLC, did not want to resolve the problem because it was not enough time in advance of the notice.

    *** ***** is a former patient of Dietitian Driven, LLC. Prior to his initial appointment, he was informed of all practice policies, including our 48-hour cancellation policy. These policies were explained verbally and agreed to in writing through our booking terms and conditions form (attached). All patients are required to read, review, and sign these documents before beginning care.
    Our policies exist because we are a small, service-based business that cannot bill insurance for missed appointments. When a patient cancels late or fails to attend, we lose income for that reserved time.
    Moreover, *** *****’s description of events is inaccurate. He cancelled his appointment approximately two hours before the scheduled time, not three. Initially, he cited a “pet emergency” as the reason for cancellation; however, in his complaint to the BBB, he later described it as a “family emergency,” suggesting a human family member. During our subsequent phone conversation, he described it as "my emergency" and a “life-or-death emergency.” These inconsistent explanations call into question the accuracy of his account (see transcript of his original cancellation). 
    Additionally, *** ***** misrepresented our response to his late cancellation. He claimed we told him he “must come or lose $50,” which is demonstrably false. As shown in the attached screenshots, after our automated message was sent, our direct response expressed concern for his pet and did not pressure him to attend.
    It is also important to note that *** ***** has not paid any out-of-pocket costs for his visits, as his services were covered through insurance. We take pride in offering accessible, affordable, and effective nutrition counseling, and he would have continued to pay nothing out of pocket had he respected our cancellation policy and continued care with us.

    The representative that wrote the repsponse lied. Emily R**** did not show no remorse when I explain the situation to her. I explained to her the result of the medical treatment for my pet and she glance over it. 

    If I was lying/giving "false" information, please explain to me why the administrator called me at 2:34pm on Thursday (yesterday) and agreed to give me the refund. Why would he do such a thing knowing everything that transpire. I was given confirmation from another representative by the name of Monica Marcello that a refund was going to be process and a voicemail as well. I contact my insurance explaining the situation and they are removing this company as their recommendation dietitian for their clienteles. Both of the evidences stated earlier are attached up above.

    Bottom line is- the administrator that called me at 2:34pm stated he will process the refund and I should see it within 2-4 business day on my account. I am hoping it will show up and I can be done with this nightmare. If you or anyone has any pets you love, don't do business with Dietitian Driven LLC. They will look at your pet as an ordinary excuse as if you cancel 5 mins before their appointment starts.

    My apologies *******, the latest update with this complaint is it has been fully resolved. I have officially received my refund thanks to you and the BBB. I appreciate your time and help with this situation and I hope you have a great weekend. Thank you again for everything!
