    On September 7, 2021 I signed an contract with Martin Brothers for a bathroom remodel. The total amount was for $25,905 for the entire project. During the course of the project we agreed to have a separate shower and a skylight. I was told the shower would be $1900 and the skylight $2700. I agreed to these two additional expenses at the stated price and I also stated clearly to Garry that I would not be able to afford more going forward. I had made payments of $10,000, another $10,000, and $4100. Before the project was complete, Garry wanted another check. I asked him to review all the receipts with me, but instead he handed me a handwritten list of expenses that totaled $18,248.04, that he claimed are additional expenses out side of the contract. Later I reviewed the original contract and noticed that there were items already included that I was being charged for a second time. I also noticed charges for work that was never discussed and I did not agree to previously. I have asked for receipts but they have not been provided. In a most recent email, Garry wrote a list of additional charges that are not consistent with the list from November 9th, and are much higher, now totaling an additional amount of $24,267.63 for additional charges. An example of inconsistency: On Nov 9th 2021 skylight charge is $2700 On Jan 15th,2022 skylight charge is $3204 Example of charges that were included in the original contract and then charged again. Original contract includes relocating the window and outside repair. I am charged for this again on Nov 9th in the amount of $1390. Example of charges never discussed: I paid for the vanity and counter with sink, which were to be installed by contractor. on Nov 9th, there is an additional charge for $350 for install of the counter, that we never discussed. These examples are not inclusive of all unacceptable charges.

    Garry and Brian did an excellent job renovating my living room! I would highly recommend their services. They were professional and meticulous while being genuinely nice people. They took pride in their work and completed the job on time and within budget. We were thrilled with the results! We had rain leakage from our roof that caused water to seep thru the ceiling. The ceiling sagged and mold was found. They tore out and replaced the entire ceiling and insulation. They prepped and painted the walls and trim. They cleaned up after without a trace.
