Its listings at angi.com and homeadvisor.com state that the business has "IICRC Certified Technicians,"  "Certified Technicians..." and that the business is a member of the "Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification(IICRC)."  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.  The business did not provide proof of these certifications or modify its claims.

Fiber Clean Carpet Cleaning states at its yelp.com and homeadvisor.com listings, respectively: "We are one of CT's very few IICRC Certified carpet cleaning firms, employing IICRC certified technicians" and "We are proud to be one of CT's extremely few IICRC Certified Carpet Cleaning firms, employing only IICRC Certified Technicians."  Advertisers must not deceptively or falsely disparage a competitor or competing products or services in their advertising. Truthful comparisons using factual information may help consumers make informed buying decisions, provided all representations are consistent with the general rules and prohibitions against false and deceptive advertising and the advertiser can substantiate all claims made. The business did not provide substantiation for this claim.

At angi.com, yelp.com, and homeadvisor.com, it states its work is backed by a "100% Money-Back Guarantee!"  Its listing at homeadvisor.com states "Why are we the only company in CT to offer a 100% MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE?"  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the term guarantee, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details can be seen prior to sale. These details must disclose any material limitations on the guarantee.  Advertisers should only use “money back guarantee” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request.  The business did not respond to BBB's suggestion that since the claim is made on sites with space limitations that the business remove the references to its guarantee if the applicable terms cannot be included.  The business did not respond to BBB's request that it provide substantiation for the claim "Why are we the only company in CT to offer a 100% MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE?"
