On March 1, 2024, Bron Austin Deal was sentenced to 60 days in jail and four years of supervised probation for charges related to his role as Treasurer for the Gould Community Association and his operation of Never Summer Nordic Yurts. Deal pled guilty to one count of felonious theft for embezzling funds from the Gould Community Association and one count of misdemeanor fraud for accepting reservations and payment for vacation stays on Never Summer Nordic's website after the state had already shut down the operation. In addition to the above mentioned sentencing, Deal was ordered to pay over $24,000 in restitution to the Association and to consumers who booked yurts with Never Summer Nordic.
