This contractor has now moved to **** and is up to his same tricks. He started our project and we wouldn't see him for weeks, a little progress when he would show up, he would want more money (way more than the amount of work completed). None of his original subcontractors will work with him anymore. 10 months after a 6 week project was started and the project still isn't complete. ****** gets belligerent when you question him and ask for any written receipts or statements. First impressions of ****** he presents with a lot of charisma, but he will show his dark side when you ask for any kind of paper trail of the work done. You will be sorry if you hire this contractor and end up with an unfinished project that you overpaid for. There are currently three people that I know of that have used him that are currently in litigation with him for the same scenarios.

We signed a contract with ****** on 10/5/2021 for $57,750 and then added additional work for a total contract of $67,050.00. We paid ****** $54050.00 plus a $3500.00 deposit for a total of $57550.00. Going thru the project several red flags started happening that concerned **. He wrote a NSF check to the subcontractor who put our marble top, refused to pay the electrician for services rendered, was unable to order our flooring due to an account issue, Bank called ** and asked ** questions on a check we gave to ****** he stated he accidently put a check wrote to Black Rhino in his personal account and that the bank was returning the check. He then asked ** to re-issue a check and we did (trusting him that he was telling us the truth), but he tried to cash both checks. ****** would send invoices for the work they were doing at the time. Then he quit coming over or we wouldn't see him for weeks at a time and he would send invoices that said "draw". We questioned why we were paying him when he was not working on our project. There was always an excuse as to why he wasn't coming around (not due to non-payment from **). We were at a point that we had paid for tile, electrical, permits, cabinets we hadn't received....he wasn't coming around, and still asking for money so we said we wanted to see some progress in the work before we were willing to pay additional money. We filed a lawsuit and won for over $12,000, unfortunately have not been able to collect as the bank accounts have all been closed.Read the reviews and you will see that it is the same from several people, money issues, unfinished projects and temper/attitude. I wish I would have done my due diligence and checked. I would always suggest you check the county any contractor lives in before allowing them in your home for any domestic or criminal records, the secretary of state, and do not pay before services are rendered. It is okay to pay as the project is progressing, but do not pay in advance, pay after.

I got a text from this company to contact them for an estimate or an appointment.
I called and talked to Ken A*****, the owner. He asked if I wanted work done or an estimate. I said an estimate. He got angry and told me I had just cost him $200 just by calling him. I was stunned. I listened to his anger a few mins longer, and told him I would not deal with someone like him, and take this kind of criticism, and hung up. I little while later I got another text from him that I have pasted below. I have a screen shot of all three text if anyone wants to see it. My name is Ken also.
“Ken mabey should call another 7 contractors at 200 a lead and you can save 200 a dollars. As a engineer you'll be ok because your just like doctor charging 3000 a hour and spending a .05 a hour that's a Nickle l you cheap ***”
