In early March of 2024 we experienced a small leak from our water main. We were pretty concerned at first since we've never gone through this before. We called a local company to replace the backflow preventer. We had very little standing water in our crawl space where the pipe was located, but the technician recommended we call a restoration company and gave us the number to Elements of Restoration. The worst decision we ever made was calling them. The water damage didn't appear significant, but we took the advice from the technician. The **** from Elements of Restoration tried telling us that our whole floor needed replaced, extending into our living room which seemed excessive. They pressured us into signing a work authorization form and told us insurance would cover all of it. We didn't feel comfortable with them in the house and our baby girl started crying. We politely asked them to leave and they declined stating that they needed to pull material off the wall for testing which they stated would be required for the insurance company. They were there for approximately 2 hours and left an hour after we asked them to leave. Once they finally did, my wife and I discussed and did not want to pursue any type of work with them. The damage was insignificant and they were exaggerating the issue to steal from the insurance company, ****. They have been harassing us ever since for payment. I asked for an itemized list because they tried charging us $5000 for a two hour visit and 1 of those hours was after we asked them to leave. The list they provided was hilariously ridiculous and we marked it up showing them the inconsistencies. They were trying to scam the insurance company and now they are trying to scam us. They even called **** to try and access information about the canceled claim. This is an unethical business with no character nor decency and people should be made aware of that.

We did preform After hour emergency service work at Mr. ******* house.  The drywall and floor were 100 percent wet.  We left a dehumidifier and took samples to a lab to test for asbestos.  According to the ***** we would of needed to remove some of his flooring to dry the concrete and the state of ******** requires us to test.   If we did not dry his house, he would have been left with a bunch of mold. Mr. ****** used our services and didn't allow us to complete the job seeing as he felt it was dry and didn't need to do anything else.   We have 3 separate trips from ******** to ************  Everything is documented in the report, and we will be seeing him in Court soon.

    Thanks
