I brought my car to this AAmco Transmission shop on June 3rd 2024. I got a call from them saying that the transmission was fixed but my car got side swiped when they text drove it. They said don't worry that they were gonna get a door for it. I was able to go get my car and they we're going to call me when the door was in. I had my car for 1 day and it was doing the same thing, not going into 3rd gear. I bought my car back up there. They have had it ever since. I have gotten nothing but the run around. I have caught them I numerous lies. They never got a door for my car. They had someone bondo it. My car is still there and they are not fixing it. It's been a month. Again they just keep giving me the run around about when, how, who, is supposed to be painting it. They are rude, ignorant and totally unprofessional. I have never ever dealt with a company this bad. They have an excuse for everything. These people seriously do not care. I feel like they are just waiting for me to get so frustrated that I will just take my car the way that it is. That way they will not have to fix it. I cannot stress how bad their customer service is.

2/12 To the present Communication has been through a person named ****. *** currently paid 1590 They want me to pay another 5800. At first The visit was to see what was wrong with my trans. They later told me that the problem was the clutch cable. The estimated labor was 1485. My car is an 03 ********** eclipse manual and that part is no longer being made. After months, I found the clutch cable and bought it. My girl gave it to aamco 4/9. 4/12 at 11am They called and explained that there was other problems that if werent fixed would cause issues in the future. The estimate for the repair was about 6k. At first, I said it was ok to work on the car. 17 mins later I called back and told them that I could only pay in monthly payments of 300$ he said hed call me back. After an hour of discussing, they called back, **** said he would work with me. I told ********** could give him 1500 the day of. After discussing this with my girlfriend, we decided that it wasnt worth it. I arrived at the shop shortly after with 1590 and explained that we decided we were not going to go through with the other repairs, to only repair the clutch cable. The amount I gave would cover the original labor, I gave **** the money and he gave me a receipt. I made sure to repeat myself, and **** replied with Yeah OK. 4/22 my girl called to see if they were done. **** said that he was waiting to see if the owner was going to charge us for the parts they ordered because of the ititial authorization I gave. She said we werent going to do any more than the clutch cable. May 1st she called again and they said they were waiting for parts as they ordered the wrong ones. She offered to pay the return fees on the parts, but we were not authorizing for them to be installed, however the owner said to keep working on the car even though we said not to. Im asking you now to let me know if this is legal or not, if it is legal then please explain why. If not, then please help me get my car back.

In June 2023, another shop destroyed my transmission by putting in the wrong fluid after a flush. I took the vehicle to Aamco to get it looked at, they said it needed a complete rebuild. They had the vehicle a week and a half, and $6,700 later it was repaired and back in my hands. By November 2023, it had developed issues shifting and they said to bring it back after the first of the year, so I took it back to them in January and they had it 3.5 weeks to repair a pump. After getting it back, I had it for 1.5 weeks before it completely broke down on the freeway in rush hour traffic where the transmission wasn't engaging at all again, and almost caused a wreck... I had it towed to them again and it took them another 1.5 weeks to 'replace the pump', again, and they then said it didn't pass quality control again and wasn't ready yet. So in the last 6.5 weeks, I have had my ONLY family vehicle that fits my entire family in my possession 1.5 weeks. And still don't have it back yet. How hard is it to rebuild it with quality parts and get it right?!? During this whole time, *I* have been the one having to call THEM to get updates on the status of my vehicle, with the phone going to voicemail the majority of the time. They FINALLY initiated a call to me at the end of last week when it ended up not being ready again... The customer service is terrible, and the work product appears to be terrible as well. If it weren't for paying 6.7k and the warranty with Aamco, I wouldn't be using this shop

My car has been to this business 3 times for the same problem in the last 2 months. We spent ******** to have the transmission fixed and it is still doing exactly what it did prior to them claiming to have fixed the problem. The 2nd time we took it back they claimed it was a computer issue, so we took it to the Aamco in ******** and they put it on their computer and gave us a print out saying it is still the exact thing in the transmission that this store said they had fixed. Now on the 3rd trip back, this store is claiming again its a computer issue even after being told by the store manager in ******** that it is the transmission. The store manager *** is refusing to give a refund or fix the item he claims they fixed for 3k and could care less about any consequences!

This place has had my car for a week, lied to me told me I have a transmission problem, charged me **** just to "inspect" it, would not return phone calls or tell me what was wrong with my car, today I had to call after being ignored and now they say it's a clutch but that I still owe them **** for lying to me that it was my transmission. Clutches don't cost that much, nor do they take a week to be replaced. Now they are refusing to tell me the owners name so I can report them to the attorney General and corporate aamco. I have been without my car for a week so far and being charged for their misdiagnosis. (That is illegal in my state) According to other reviews they keep people's cars for WEEKS, completely unacceptable and probably illegal. I am reporting this shop to the attorney General of ******** about the ******** Motor Vehicle Repair Act (MVRA). Corporate AAMCO and the attorney General needs to do something about this shop and the owner, and management. They are illegally ripping people off and keeping their cars for WEEKS

October 9 I took my car to aamco because I was having a slight shudder while riding at low rpm. I had talked to a mechanic at ****** the same day that informed me this was a known issue with Camry 2012-2014 and there was a technical service bulletin for this and that I needed a new torque converter but my car was out of factory warranty. I still had a warranty from carvana so I took it in immediately. I told ******* at Aamco about the *** and toque converter when dropping the car off and the symptoms it was having. October 31 I finally get the call that my car is finished and learn my entire transmission was replaced. Aamco told Silver Rock (warranty company) that it was a complete transmission failure, despite the computer showing no transmission codes and without driving a single mile. I checked my mileage at drop off and it was the exact same as when I picked it up. Their invoice reflects this also. So no test drive before or after the work. I immediately notice my brakes are hard and wont stop the car well. Within ten miles the check engine light comes on and the car begins falling in and out of gear almost causing me to wreck. November 1 I call aamco and have them tow the car back to the shop. A few days later I call and they say the computer for transmission was fried. Since the work is under warranty I figured they fix this no questions asked. I was wrong. November 9 they start another claim with silver rock to fix what their bad install caused instead of fixing it for free since they did the work that failed before. Today is November 16 and they still have my vehicle. I feel like they are committing fraud by doing unnecessary work and charging silver rock for something they should fix for free.

The week before Halloween, me and my wife had taken our 2009 ****** outback into ammco for a transmission diagnostic. Our car hadn't been accelerating properly.Without doing an actual diagnostic, they told us me need a new transmission, we agreed to the cost and everything of 4 thousand dollars. It took about the week to finish and when we picked it up, there was no new transmission, they had just removed my gaskets to make it SEEM like the car had more power, then wanted another 4 grand to replace the catalytic converters, that I'm pretty sure they stole my originals. They refuse to relook at it and i had to take to the ****** dealership to get gaskets put back on. Now my car is exactly the same as it was before we took it to aamco in the first place. They're scamming people, and conveniently fired the manager that was working there so nobody apparently knows who we are or the car.
