            My husband (***) dropped off a pair Of *** men’s size 13 slippers at Westlake dry cleaners on April 26, 2021. The right slipper had spots we wished removed. Left slipper was fine. The owner said she would try to get out the spots. *** returned May 3 to pick up slippers. Paid $6. I tried the slippers on as soon as we got home and found they had shrunk so much I could not get them on. The slippers are mine—Jan’s. We returned today, May 4, and asked the owner to either replace the slippers or refund us the cost of a new pair. She refused stating over and over that she said she would try to get out the spots. (She did.) She quickly refunded the $6. She explained that the material was very hard to work with. (**** are suede was sheepskin lining.) We had a 10 or 15 minute conversation at the end of which she said she told my husband “no guarantees.” This is untrue. She did not just do spot removal. She somehow shrank both slippers.
