I'm a former wag n wash employee here's everything they dont want you to know. Wag n wash. A supposed family owned and run company. Wrong. Their owned by one of the biggest pet food suppliers in the US Pets supplies plus. Based out of *******. The owners have been in stores once? Maybe? Their also incredibly misogynistic and LGBTQ Phobic. They promoted people who have worked for the company for two weeks and barely know how to run the easiest stuff, I front of people who have been here for years. The management is absolute s*** The managers as then sell are wonderful people but haven't been properly trained on how to deal with people who are working for them. Often putting out the schedule the day that your supposed to come in then writing you up because you no call no showed. Will often give out free stuff but will write you up if you buy out of your own pocket to give to people. And got forbid if you're trans or non binary because they won't respect pronouns unless you fully transitioned. Oh and if your taking any classes they don't care and will continue to schedule you on said days. Oh and if you apply for a higher position without clearing it with your management first there will be retaliation. They treat their grommers like absolute s*** expecting them to train people in grooming while also finishing eight dogs in an 10 hr shift. So incredibly unreasonable. And if your disabled they'll treat you like a child. They'll constantly make remarks on "Oh how can you lift that today when you couldn't a week ago?" There is so.much more that I could go I to great detail into this is just a glimpse into the past hear that I have worked at wag. If you have a choice don't choose wag n wash. #canclewagnwash
