I came to catholic charities expressing my issues with my vehicle it needs a flywheel starter oil change and possibly a tune up so ****** and I called a couple of places but I had a coupon for a oil change with EAS on ****** bluffs so I called spoke to **** the office manager he said they can do the job will not charge for a diagnosis if they are the ones to do the job, so ****** agreed but she said she didn't want to pay for one part ***** which **** said okay then **** had us talk to ******* so upon coming in that's when all the manipulation started we're going to replace the starter that will fix the problem well no I had to bring my vehicle BK several times because they didn't fix the flywheel at all which was the main issue bottom line I have text messages with **** repeatedly asking him about the situation he wanted more money I even asked him and ******* if y'all don't have the means to fix a flywheel why did y'all agree to do the job that y'all didn't do but took the charities money, no responseBusiness Response

We appreciate the opportunity to address this complaint and provide clarification regarding the situation. The customer brought their vehicle to EAS Tire & Auto on *************, where we performed a thorough diagnosis of the issue. Based on our professional assessment, the flywheel was not identified as a factor contributing to the vehicles problems, and therefore, we did not recommend replacing it. The customer did not approve or pay for any repairs directly with us. Instead, the repairs were handled and paid for by a third party, a Catholic charity, on the customers behalf.
We stand by the quality of the work performed and believe it was completed to the highest standards based on the diagnosis and the approved scope of repairs. While we understand the customers frustration, we do not believe a refund is warranted or appropriate in this case, as the customer did not pay for the repairs and the work completed addressed the issues identified during the diagnostic process.
We are happy to assist further in any way we can to resolve this matter and ensure clarity for all parties involved. Please feel free to reach out to us if additional information or documentation is needed. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: as a customer I asked specifically for my flywheel and starter to be replaced if y'all stand behind y'all team then they should've definitely did what was asked because i had brought my vehicle in a couple times to where **** literally was scrapping the fly wheel because it's so loud when it starts still to this day it's loud this is not professional and definitely was taking advantage of, I have text messages from **** stating he needed more money to do the flywheel when that was asked in the beginning so if that's not taking advantage of a clients funding then I don't know what is! I received funding specifically for my flywheel and starter! Y'all are not asking why did he agree to do the flywheel if he didn't have the right equipment! Y'all took complete advantage of funding and the job wasn't done y'all want to hide behind y'all managers but why did he try to scrape out the flywheel twice afterwards the bottom line is y'all don't want to come out y'all pockets and admit fault! This needs to be resolved! I'm not standing behind anybody who takes advantage of funding and the job I asked for wasn't done!
Sincerely,

Morning ******* my name is ******* ******* I would like this to be reopened due to facts of this case wasn't answered!
1. Why did they take funding if **** couldn't replace the flywheel that I specifically asked to be changed
2. If they have such hopes for their professionals then why did **** bring my vehicle in twice to saw down my flywheel if it wasn't that!
3. Why are they refusing to see the text messages between **** and I him asking for more money to do the flywheel if it wasn't that
4. Why did **** say if he's guaranteed to do the job there won't be a charge for a diagnosis then the job wasn't done!
5. If I as a customer knows exactly what's wrong with my vehicle why do I need a diagnosis so every customer that walks in gets a diagnosis even tho they know exactly what the problem is?
6. Why wasn't the flywheel replaced especially after **** said he didn't have the equipment to change the flywheel why was funding taken if he couldn't do the job!
I'm not arguing but I need answers to my facts! Please! Thank u!Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to provide clarification regarding this matter.
The vehicle was brought to us with a grinding noise. After inspection, our technicians found that the starter was defective and also advised that the flywheel could potentially be contributing to the issue. In addition, we recommended a tune-up and oil change to support the overall health of the vehicle.
At the request of the sponsoring church/charity, we prepared two estimates:
One estimate included the starter, tune-up, oil change, and flywheel replacement.
The second estimate excluded the flywheel and covered only the starter, tune-up, and oil change.
After reviewing both options, the church specifically instructed us to proceed only with the starter replacement, tune-up, and oil change. They informed us that they would not approve or cover the additional cost of the flywheel, stating that they had never paid that much for any repair for any other person sponsored by them and that they did not believe the higher expense was justified based on the vehicles value.
We fully understand the customers frustration that the grinding noise may still be present due to the flywheel not being replaced. However, EAS Tire & Auto performed exactly the work that was authorized and paid for by the charity. We cannot carry out or fund additional repairs without approval from the responsible paying party. We did try to assist the customer by turning the flywheel, at no additional charge, but ultimately it would need to be replaced. The customer would need to cover the cost of replacement since the charity chose not to do so.
That said, the repairs we did perform were completed properly: the vehicle now has a new starter with the correct bolts installed, along with a completed tune-up and oil change, which were all requested and approved by the charity.
We truly empathize with the customers position and regret that the underlying issue could not be fully resolved at the time. Unfortunately, the decision on which repairs to proceed with rested solely with the sponsoring charity, and we were obligated to respect their direction.
EAS Tire & Auto remains committed to providing honest evaluations, clear communication, and quality repairs within the scope authorized by our customers or their sponsoring organizations. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thank you for your time.

They are claiming an A+ rating on their website when they have a D-. My purchases and seeking out auto issue help was made under false pretenses, which can be considered consumer fraud under state and federal law.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint on behalf of *************************
We understand the customers concerns and appreciate the chance to clarify the events and our position. We take all feedback seriously and strive to resolve every issue in a fair and transparent manner.
The customer initially brought their vehicle to us for service. Some of that work was later warrantied, due to part failure, without hesitation, and we stood behind those repairs fully. After the customer picked up their vehicle following the warranty work, a ball joint failed. While this was understandably upsetting, we want to note that the ball joint was not a component we serviced. It was not included in the scope of the original repair or warranty work. However, we acknowledge that it was missed during our courtesy inspection.
Despite the ball joint not being part of our repair responsibility, we took full accountability for the situation by:
Replacing the failed ball joint at no cost to the customer
Covering the cost of body repairs caused by the incident at an external body shop
Having the vehicle inspected by a second, independent sister store to verify that all work was completed properly and safely
Our goal throughout this process was to do the right thing and support the customer beyond what was required contractually. At no point did we refuse help or try to shift blame.
Additionally, the customer expressed concern about our ******************** rating. Wed like to provide some context: as of a few weeks ago, our BBB account was merged with 20 other locations under the same brand. One of those locations had a lower rating due to two unresolved complaints submitted prior to the merger. Our intention was never to mislead or falsely advertise our standing, and we will be working directly with the BBB to clarify these rating inconsistencies and ensure accurate representation of each location's performance. We have also removed the BBB logo from our website.
While we are very sympathetic to the customers experience, we do not believe a full refund is warranted. The work initially performed was necessary, completed properly, and remains intact. We responded promptly to the ball joint failure, covered all related costs (about $1,900), and took extra steps to ensure the customers vehicle was safe and road ready.Thank you for your time and please let us know if we can be of further assistance in this matter.

I called the EAS Tire & Auto asking for a quote on getting a diagnostics on my car. When I first called they quoted me $150 for them to do the diagnostic but once I informed them it was a hybrid they raised the price to $300. I took it in June 26, 2023, and they told me they had found the issue and they quoted me $1,906 to get it fixed, before agreeing I asked if my car still had the same issues what will happen after that and they assured me that we can take it back free of charge and get it fixed. When we picked up our car we were 8 miles out when I broke down, we weren't even able to get it home, when it started having the same issue we had taken it in for. We called the shop and they told us we had to get it towed back (we had to pay $120 out of pocket). When we took it back they looked at it again and informed us there was actually a different issue with the car and that they don't work with those types of cars even after telling us it was going to be a higher cost because it was a Hybrid.Initial Complaint

Brought my car to Eagle on 1-9-2023 to verify all was working correctly as another Oil change place changed my oil and transmission fluid in December 2022 and made a major error and paid to have my transmission replaced.I let Eagle know this and they said the car was fine. On March 6 I brought my car back as the check engine light came on as well as flashing break sign. Eagle said they needed to replace the 02 sensor as well as "regular maintenance." They changed the transmission fluid as well as the oil when it was done in December when the new transmission was installed as was explained to them They said they already did the work, which I did not sign off on. The amount for the transmission fluid change and oil change totaled $764.38 in addition to the sensor charges. 2 weeks later the check engine light came on again and they said they needed to change the second O2 sensor which they did not do when they did the 1st one. I showed the charges to a male friend who spoke with them. They agreed, ***********************, they should not have charged me the $764.38 but did not want to give me a refund as they did the work so would send me coupons worth $800 for future oil changes, etc. I have never received anything and over 2 weeks have passed. My male friend thinks they just took advantage of a female over 50. I deserve a refund and if any coupons ever show up I would not take my car back to the same place.
