SHAMEFUL! I purchased a 2006 Cadillac SRX. It was a solid car, with AWD, and was great in the snow. Around February 27th, 2023, the key was stuck in the ignition, neighbor mentioned Christian Brothers.I had no idea it would escalate and one decision, would alter my life financially, and length of time I would be taken hostage. EIGHTEEN DAYS in MARCH another TEN DAYS in APRIL!! All for an ignition replacement, totalling $3,700 and did agree to a payoff schedule of $925. per month, last payment in June. I asked several times to stretch payment out, NO. Shocked again, w/all this, would not budge! Right now I have a 10 day demand for payment with my delinquent rent payment. In retrospect, this is bulling tactics I was told my car was deemed unsafe to drive. All four brakes needed replacement, brakes, pads, rotors etc.EVERYTHING! If I did not get the repairs done, they are required by law, to report it to *****************, likely a "ding" on my title. I'm 63yr old female, I needed the car for a HealthCare job I was literally just hired that morning. New job, more money and no car. I was so rattled by the fact of finding out I could injure others and myself!! I agreed, HOWEVER, the lies kept coming. "Your car is old, they don't make parts for it anymore!!" "This part is so hard to get!" Over and over! Funny, I got on the phone and found FIVE PLACES THAT HAD THE PART in stock. OMG!! Red flags are popping up. "**********, please be patient, I only want the best for you!" I'm told over and over. In the midst of all this, I had a medical issue resulting in surgery. I'm just trying to point out, the duress I was under. There was NO consideration for time they had my car a total of 28 days. Not shocked, but the key gets stuck AGAIN in April, another TEN days. I've done my research, took notes, and now I'm more upset that "Christian Brothers" would not help me spread payments out, and most of all, blatant lies. More to come on other review sites. *************************************

There is obviously a lot more to this story.  To not get into how she is bullying our employees and our company which is how we have felt while trying to help this person.. I will summarize with the following.

-The recommended repairs were definitely needed and we have a digital inspection with photos that document our findings.

-Steering ignition cylinder housing specific for vehicle with adjustable pedal is not available.  We could only acquire it used. The other parts installed were new.

-The used component failed, which as you would expect used parts have a higher failure rate than new parts.  Used parts do not have warranty for this reason.  Most shops would have charged again for this repair.  We went above and beyond in making the repair again for free even though our warranty on our website states used parts do not have warranty.

-Given that the parts had to come from out of state is why the repair took so long.  That is not something we can control.  We allowed the customer to use our loaner car free of charge, again going above and beyond.

-This was not a workmanship issue.  We were at the mercy of parts availability which we cannot control.

Ultimately her issue on her car was fixed for free (again most shops would have charged since we are talking about a used part), as quickly as was possible.  I am not sure what else she is looking for from **.

We feel terrible after all that has gone on she feels this way. her car is fixed at our expense

The engine light stays on! I had your loaner car for 1day! Not even 24hrs, have to hold in gear while driving! You are the bully.
