      -Date of the transaction: 07/2024 -Paid the business: $21,256.00 -The business comitted to installing new landscaping and needed sprinkler lines on the front and back of my property. -My dispute is a warranty item. The company installed new sprinkler lines for all the new vegitation that was installed. After the install was completed the workers tested the sprinkler lines by manually unscrewing the solenoid instead of using the sprinkler clock. The employee did not s**** the solenoid tight for the back yard sprinkler valve after testing, the sprinkler line ran 24/7 for over a month. The company installed drip lines so there was no physical way to see that the sprinkler was running. Because the sprinkler was running for a month and a half straight, I receviced a $572 waterbill for the month of 09/2024 and a $110 water bill the month of 08/2024. My normal water bill is $40. I did not know the water was running until the city came to my property to warn me of a possible leak. I provided all the proff of the company's mess up when it happened in 09/2024 -The only way the company tried to resolve it was to give me a $500 discount if I purchased more work from the company, which I came to find unacceptable.

      **************** entered into a contract with Environmental Designs for new landscaping in his front and back yard.  The landscaping was installed and at some point, after the project was completed, **** reached out to our team and said the water was left on in his back yard.   **** stated in his complaint the water was running for over a month and the water bill submitted shows over ****** gallons used in the one of the months.   I am trying to understand how the water can be running over month at this volume without **** noticing this issue.

      **** stated his normal water bill is $40.  This would be before his new landscaping was installed.  With a new irrigation system and landscaping the bill during the during the season will be substantially higher.   

       **** wanted our team to install more landscaping at his home and we have an agreement to credit back $500 on the new landscaping.  The homeowner can also reach back out to the City of ******** with this issue and in many cases, they will credit back the overage.

      I am rejecting this response because: The Business is not taking ownership of their mistake. The irrigation system they installed is a drip system and the lines are buried under mulch and rock, there is no way to physically see it running. I have been running the irrigation system for the last month this summer and my bill is only around $75, yes it is higher but not 800% higher. I did not know it was running untill the city came to my house telling me there was a leak.The business backed me into a corner with saying the only way I would get anything back is if I got new work, which is not right, i did not agree to this but it seemed like my only option. I proceeded with getting a quote from the company in April 2024 for work I could have done but did not need to have done, the quote came back at $4500.00 with a $500 "discount". Making me spend another $4000 to get $500 was unacceptable. The city will also not give me a water credit, the running water had nothing to do with city infastructure. With offering a discount the company is admitting their installers made a mistake, they are also replacing the plants that died do to the over watering under warranty. *** needs to do the right thing and give me a refund of $600 for the two water bills caused by their installers.

      Environmental Designs is a professional company we have been in business for over 30 years with a high rating with the BBB.   I have tries to help ****.  At first, he wanted a discount on future work we did give him a discount and then he wanted us to install the materials he purchased which I agreed to. I feel we have tried to solve this issue.

      I am rejecting this response because: *********** has done very little on the issue. I did not want nor need the additional work, but it was the only option offered to me. The price for the work that was ******* discussed was outrageous and I wasn't going to spend another $4,500 to try and recoupe $600. I don't understand why the company can't refund me the cost of the water bills.
