    Warning to Anyone Considering CE Shop Courses I want to warn prospective students that CE Shop operates in a misleading and fraudulent manner. They advertise a 12-day window to complete the course, but in reality, you have about 10 days before they stop providing any real support. Despite numerous claims on their website about extension possibilities.Their so-called 24-hour staff either cannot or will not check your answers once the unrealistic timeframe passes. This setup targets busy working professionals who may not catch every fine detail buried deep within the "syllabus'". It appears the company purposely designs this system to trip up customers and force failures or repeated payments, profiting from consumer mistakes.I hold myself to high standards, especially since this course directly impacts Rhode Island real estate professionals, and I expect fairness and integrity. Instead, I experienced dismissive and unhelpful service from staff like ******* and *******, who were unapologetic and dismissive when I requested a reasonable extension to review my work.This company does not honor what it advertises and shows no genuine concern for student success or fairness.

    The CE Shop LLC - They scammed me into believing they were a different company. I have done business with the ********************* in ***** and ******* IL since the 1980's. They have been a great educator throughout my long real estate career. I received several emails from: ********************* offering a 40% discount for my bi-annual continuing education. I took advantage of the offer and paid for the 24 hours of CE. Then I received an email from The CE Shop thanking me for my purchase - a company I've never heard of and NOT THE COMPANY THEY PURPORTED TO BE. I looked them up and they do provide RE CE, but I do not want to do business with a company who pretends to be another. (I would give them zero out of 5 stars, but that isn't an option.) Interestingly, I phoned them the next day and said I wanted to cancel my order and they just processed a refund without even asking WHY I wanted to cancel! Awaiting my refund...

    I used to swear by this company for many years, two professional licenses and 8 years in. I recently was giving the incorrect course and the The CE Shop refused to give me a refund and this ended up costing me hundreds of dollars more to renew my Mortgage Loan Origination License for the state of ******** who charges $25 per day for late renewal. The ** *** put my package together for all three professions I hold and gave a course that I did not even need and refuse to make me whole. I will not ever be back, especially after reading these other reviews.

    Everyone considering CE Shop needs to go on reddit and pay close attention to everyone's experiences with them. I wish I had done this prior to giving them $400 for my ********************* course. It turns out now that they are only a marketing company that provides poor material. Be warned.This place is a scam. The course material is filled with reworded and poorly written questions. Its filled with typos and even the wrong answers to multiple choice questions. I am not sure how they are able to get away with this. I already have a few degrees. I know what to expect in the realm of professionalism and well written material. YOU WILL NOT get it through the CE Shop.I completed over my 90 hours required for the state of ** to sit for my exams. I passed any and all pre-testing. Even the ones given to me by a local agent in my town. The CE Shop told me that even though I met the states requirements to test for MY STATE. I am still required by CE Shop to do more than my state requires, for them, the CE Shop. I am filing a complaint with the State Of Tennessee against the CE Shop and their fraudulent business practices. You have been warned from a retired Fire Fighter with many credentials. DO NOT TRUST CE SHOP.

    I wish to comment on your policy of not transferring earned credits, if your offered real estate course is not completed on your timeline. Ive read the bad reviews for a long time specifically related to the inability to transfer earned credits. Instead you offer a discount of 50% for the student to continue with all earned credits erased.. then the student has to start all over again to earn back all of those lost credits that were taken away in addition to spending more money. Who is the winner here? There are no other programs I contacted in the state that I live in that do not transfer earned credits, and when they hear that your company does not they are shocked. Quickly, they respond that this practice of not transferring earned credits, if a student does not complete the course in the allowed time, appears to be very shady and a way to put more money in the pocket of the company supporting this practice. What other reason could there be other than financial gain? This practice certainly doesnt help the student, right?In addition, the company does not detail their practice of not transferring credits in their initial paperwork, very vague at best. The verbiage is not detailed in an understandable, concise manner upon signing up for your companies real estate courses. If this is indeed your companies practice moving forward, then own up to it and state very clearly and concisely in your initial paperwork that you do not transfer earned credits if not completed in the time that was agreed upon, this would at least be honest and less shady, thank you for listening.

    The CE Shop, Inc. is committed to providing students with a satisfactory experience while maintaining the boundaries outlined within the terms and conditions. Pre-Licensing courses expire either six (6) months or twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase. Please refer to the state-specific catalog page for course information. For those courses that expire 6 (six) months after the date of purchase, the student will be granted an automatic one (1) month extension at no charge and such one (1) month free extension will be applied immediately after the initial six (6) month term. For any reactivation or extension of the course after the seventh (7th) month, The CE Shop will charge the student twenty percent (20%) of the current retail price of the course for each thirty (30)-day extension or partial thirty (30)-day extension in the event that the course expires prior to the end of the final thirty (30)-day extension.  

    Extensions or reactivations cannot be granted beyond 12 months from the original date of purchase. If the course is not completed within 12 months from the date of purchase, the student will be required to purchase a new course at 50% off the current retail price as long as this is done within 30 days of the course expiring and progress does not transfer to the new enrollment. We disclose our policies in our terms and conditions upon check out where it is required prior to order that students must agree upon. 

    We do appreciate the feedback and it will be considered as we continue to look for opportunities to improve our student experience; without jeopardizing quality related to preparing students not only for passing their licensing exam, but also being successful in the industry and operating in full compliance with all regulations.

    I wish I would have read these reviews sooner. I am completely dissatisfied with this company. When life happens and you can't finish the course on the deadline, you have to pay the full 700$ again to take the course, instead of being able to restart the course when you need to because I already put in a 700$ investment. Don't waste your time with this online course. I recommend taking the time to do it in person at a course near you, I had a friend do that and he had a much better experience. DO NOT BUY.

    I am currently going through an unfortunate issue with the ceshop. I completed my affiliate broker pre licensing course on 07/04/23. On my account its states that the course completion was reported on 07/05. At the end of August, I decided I was ready to schedule to take my exam only to find out by PSI that my course had not been accurately reported. I was sent over a file name to send to a PSI representative. I spoke with numerous reps from psi and even a manager from psi that stated to me that the file name that was sent to me could not be found in their system. I have been going back and forth for months now just trying to get my exam scheduled. I had no idea it would be this hard and wish I never chose theCeshop. After speaking with a supervisor from theceshop he told me that their reporting department speculated I may have used someone elses name and social security number which is INSANE. I offered to send copies of my state ID and social security card. When I last spoke with the supervisor, he told me he would contact me once the issue is resolved. I still have yet to hear anything from anyone at theCeshop. At this point, I just want my money back. Im willing to retake the entire course over somewhere else just to make sure my course completion is accurately reported. I was really anticipating taking my exam and starting my real estate career, but because of doing business with theceshop my goals have been drastically pushed back. There has been no urgency for correcting the error and a high lack of empathy.

    The CE shop is tan by thieves that are just interested in taking you money with no explanation of terms and conditions when their sales people call to follow up. When you call to get your money back youre urged to reschedule your classes to further stretch the period between purchase and their refund policy. When you call to discuss this they will run you over, and act like thugs for trying to get your own money back for services youve not used nor plan to. RUN DONT WALK AWAY FROM THESE MONEY STEALING THUGS. I WISH I COULD LEAVE A 0.

    Don't you just love a company that doesn't clearly convey its terms and conditions when selling its service but is quick to throw them in your face when it benefits them? You would think that important terms, such as expiration dates, would be clearly advertised, but that's not the case. Rather, they are hidden on the last page of an attached .pdf file that is only located in the body of a terms page that is only accessed via a small link on the bottom of the website. It's the real-world equivalent of ***** Wonka's contract and I was quickly reminded that I stole ************* drinks...

We strive to be as transparent as possible so we list the expiration policy in several locations. It is provided at the bottom of the catalog page for the course, in our terms and conditions, and in your account to the right of the course at all times. When purchasing, the terms and conditions require a box to be checked that you agree in order to purchase. Once the purchase is processed, the confirmation email advises to review the expiration date in your account. The terms and conditions has the following information for the expiration and repurchase policies: PRE-LICENSING EDUCATION Except as modified below for ************** and ****************, Pre-Licensing courses expire either 6 (six) months or 12 (twelve) months from the original date of purchase. Please refer to the state-specific catalog page for course expiration information. Extensions or reactivations cannot be granted beyond 12 (twelve) months from the original date of purchase of the course since in all events, the course expires 12 (twelve) months from the original date of purchase. If the course is not completed within 12 (twelve) months from the original date of purchase or other period as modified below, the student will be required to purchase a new course at 50% of the current retail price of the new course and fully complete the new course, including passing the final exam, if the student wishes to be granted credit for the new course. REPURCHASE POLICY If your course has fully expired, you may repurchase the course at 50% off of the current retail price one (1) time. This option is only available for 30 days after the full expiration date of the course. If your course expires a second time, you will have to repurchase the course at full price.

    As I pointed out to your customer service representative, it's clearly shown via website archives that you didn't, at the time of purchase, note the expiration on the catalog page, nor did you reference an expiration date in the email confirmation, nor was the expiration date stated in your terms and conditions: the only specific mention of the date was in an attached PDF download located in your terms and conditions. Clearly, this has been an issue as you have, since my original purchase date, updated your website to more clearly state the expiration date (again, clearly documented via website archives). Additionally, the currently advertised "REPURCHASE POLICY" does not place a 30 day time limit on the discount as mentioned in your reply. Let's just face reality: I am not filing a complaint with either the ******** AG, nor my home state's AG, nor the *** because it's not worth my time to bicker of a few hundred dollars. I did, however, find your lackluster response to my legitimate complaint to be enough that I can spend the few minutes to tell the public about your lack of transparency, despite the fact you claim to "strive to be as transparent as possible". Best of luck on your future selling of real estate training in this market...

    If I could leave 0 stars I would. Run- do not waste your money or what is even more precious, your time! Wasted days of my life. Classes are slow, too many clicks, no audible. Champions is the route to go. Good luck getting a testing time. Get bumped weeks out if you are not willing to test at 2 am. Be prepared to wait ***** minutes to even start your test. SO SLOW. If you still decide to do the CE Shop for education just know, you will lose hair, and bite your nails off in frustration. Never again.

This is why we have video demonstrations of our courses available on our website, so our students can know what to expect of the courses they are enrolling in. We do understand a short video may not be enough to determine if our courses are the right fit; so we additionally give our students 30 days from purchase to request, and receive, a full refund in the event a student does find the format does not work for their needs.
