  Horrible experience. Ill never use them again. Our first and last time using them to do personal taxes. It took them 3 months to do simple tax return. Almost no communication and took forever answering emails. She said she filed a extension, yet *** penalized us for 3 months being late. When I showed the *** the *** letter she said she would check on it. To date weve never heard back. So we went ahead and paid the *** penalty.

  CLA took over the local accounting firm my nonprofit has used for over a decade and we will be terminating our relationship with them because it's been a nightmare trying to get our 2022 tax return filed. I also keep keep getting spam emails from the accountant, the kind that are sent out when your computer gets hacked and all emails from this company get marked as junk by ****** so what does that tell you!??! I reached out in mid February to let the accountant know we were ready to file, she responded with the usual questionnaire and said to email our stuff. We have always sent our documents via PDF because that is what the accountant specifically told us to do. I emailed everything in early March. ***** later the accountant emails me and asks for excel spreadsheets. WTF? I sent over what I could via excel and let her know that some of it couldn't be transferred. Again weeks go by and then I check my junk folder and have an email from the accountant asking for the same excel documents I've already sent. She also says we can give her access to QuickBooks if that's easier. I resend the excel documents AND add her as a user to our QuickBooks. 3 more weeks go by. Just checked my junk folder and see an email sent yesterday from the accountant saying she still hasn't been added as a user to our QuickBooks and she gives me a completely different email to add! She didn't tell me to use that email 3 weeks earlier. Taxes are due in 10 days and these clowns haven't even started our return yet! We will not be using them after this. It takes 3 weeks minimum to get a response, they send spam emails and even ****** thinks they are spammers!

  Cliftonlarsonallen purchased the accounting firm that I had used for 10+ years. I should have realized that things had taken a turn for the worse, when one of their accountants (in training) had flown to see, and go over my books with my bookkeeper. While he was sitting there with my accountant of 10+ years, he fell asleep. My original accountant who sold his firm to these clowns retires and I'm left in the uncapable hands of this ******** ********** office. I hate change so I agree to keep my personal and business accounts with them. I send email after email to the accountant there with my typical questions. Over 9 months and dozens of emails, I think I had one response. I finally email one of the heads of this office, with my concerns. Apparently the guy doing my taxes had moved on. It's amazing that the office did not reach out to the clients he was working with??? I'm given another accountant, while a nice person, had no idea how to prepare my personal, and especially my business taxes. I felt like I was paying for her tutelage. You wouldn't believe some of the questions I was seeing emailed to my bookkeeper! It took over 6 months (past the April 15th deadline) to finish my business taxes, and then another month past that to receive my personal taxes. I won't even get into their excessive fees. Let's just say if you like receiving huge bills for god knows what-these are your guys!! Take some friendly advice...look elsewhere.
