I purchased an annual membership on April 1, 2022 and paid for it in full. In February 2023 I called to cancel my annual membership that was set to renew April 1, 2023. The woman who I spoke with on the phone said that she would put the cancelation through, but since my contract ran to April 1, 2023 and was paid for in full, she wouldn't be able to cancel it until April 1. I said that was fine, cancel it April 1 as I did not want to continue the membership. In April, I received a bill. I thought that maybe the bill and cancellation request crossed each other. I then received ANOTHER bill in May. I tried several times in May to go over to the gym to see what the issue was with my cancellation, however, the door was locked and I no longer had a door pass and there were no employees on site. I tried in early afternoon as well as early evening and each time, there was no one there to let me in. On May 31, I was able to get into the building and spoke with a lady at the front desk. I told her that I called and canceled my membership in February but was still getting billed. She said that I needed to sign a cancelation notice to cancel my membership. I was never told that I needed to sign anything. She looked at my account and said that there were no notes that I called and that the staff was "usually very diligent" in keeping notes. I told her apparently not, because I called in February to cancel AND tried to come in. She said that I probably came on a holiday or when the staff left for the day. I did NOT come on a holiday and tried to get into the building several times. She said I would not be able to cancel until I paid the past due balance...which would be for a month to month membership for April and May. I refuse to pay for a membership that I did not authorize and canceled. It is not my fault they have incompetent staff who is misinformed about their cancellation policies, and a facility where it's hit or miss in talking with someone.

On Tuesday Oct. 25th I contacted 16th Street Fitness by phone and by email asking to cancel my membership. I was told I had to come in and do it in person. I informed them for personal reasons I wasn't able to come in personally and asked if they could send me an e-doc to sign via email, or to mail me a cancelation form. No response after my call or email from them. I continue to receive bills. as of today, Nov. 28th, I received another bill for $30. I will pay any back dated bills if I can just cancel my membership. I spoke with another person at the office yesterday, 11/27 and informed them I just want to cancel. I cannot come in personally, and asked if they had an option to cancel via mail, or docusign and she said yes they did. She said she would speak with the manager and get back to me. I still haven't heard anything back. I actually have been trying to cancel this membership for over a year now, and still haven't been able to. Last year, when I was able to, I stopped in in person, but no one was in the office. I do not understand why I can't cancel. That's all I've been trying to do for months and months. I understand it has changed ownership several times since I originally signed the agreement. I've tried to cancel with the last 2 owners to no avail. This is a bit crazy to me. All I need is to cancel

Member and paid for training since 09/2020. On 04/07/2022 trainer quit and another didn’t start back until 06/29/2022. They still charged me $280.00 in 05/2022! New trainer quit 08/12/2022. I had 20 sessions on the books and was making up for past sessions when there was no trainer. I requested a refund for the May charge, when again no trainer working for the company. I was denied by Anna manager and again in September. I have closed membership. I feel they should not charge monthly when they cannot provide the service. I only want the May charge refunded as I still has those sessions unable to be fulfilled. Thank you, ******** ******* 09/06/2022

I attempt to cancel my membership last year October 2020 and the busses keeps sending me late fees. They ignored canceling my membership when I went in personally to cancel. Left a review on ****** and the owner said “someone must have said something you didn’t like”

The member was instructed on 09/01/2020 that there is a 30 day written notice of Cancellation, as per the agreement in which he signed in acknowledgement. At that time he responded abrasively to the staff, telling them "No". He was instructed that without it the account can not cancel.

On 10/13/20 he spoke to another staff member at which time he agreed to make the payment on 10/14/20 and we agreed to waive late fees. He still has not made that payment either.

He did leave a negative review on ******. There was a response of "someone must have something you didn't like" in reference to him complaining that the staff was rude when they were informing him of the 30 day written notice requirement, again, which he agreed to at sign-up with his signature. So, in short, our staff is rude because, "someone said something he didn't like".

He has had 2 opportunities to fulfill the 30 day notice and refused to acknowledge his responsibility in doing so. This matter would have been resolved in Oct 2020 if he had fullfilled his what he had agreed to do, twice.
