It has been four months since I have picked up my unfinished vehicle from Real Integrity Paint (R.I.P.) and I have yet to receive any kind of invoice or refund from my deposit of work completed or parts ordered. I have contacted the business several times inquiring about these items and I either cannot get ahold of a person at the business, have been asked to call ahead before coming to the business, been told that insurance claims took precedence over my business, and generally just an overall "**** off" vibe from them. I originally dropped off my 1966 Mustang at their place of business on August 1, 2021 and was advised it would take around six months for the restoration work to be completed and get the vehicle painted. They would contact me when it was close to being done to confirm the paint color that I wanted. Around seven months later, on March 3, 2022, I called R.I.P. to inquire about the status and owner ******* ******, advised that they had found more interior rust than initially anticipated. They advised me about another auto body shop that specialized in rust repair, and they would be able to arrange an exchange of work between the two businesses and that no further cost would be added to my estimate. I have reached out to the said business and they advised me that they had never done any work with R.I.P. I am still missing my front license plate from my Mustang and I do not believe **** or ******* ****** have any intention of getting it back to me, or providing me an invoice, and especially not returning any of my unused deposit. Initially, I made a $3,500 deposit when I dropped off the vehicle and other than seeing some sanding that occurred to the body of the Mustang I have no idea what they used it towards. I am asking your assistance to investigate the business model of R.I.P. so that no one else has to go through the frustration and economic impact that I've gone through. I would like to receive my full deposit back and my front license plate.
