    Damaged Goods

    Showed up extremely disorganized with a trailer to small for my items. Damaged items in move and had the audacity to call me a predatory customer when I asked them to right the wrongs they made. They took responsibility at the beginning but then tried to pass the blame to me. Damaged very expensive items I save years to acquire with no remorse. I would not recommend this company or doing business with the owners of A to B moving. (Multiple folks told me they were the owners and I had a bad experience with all 3 of them)

    Customer service is a priority for us here at A to B movers, so when this customer called in the complaint after tipping our team members on site, and walking through giving them positive feedback before they left, we started to investigate the claims immediately.  First thing we did was reimburse a deposit of $1,389.38 while we gathered all the data and put collecting the remaining balance of $4,168 on hold. While on site, team members did offer a $300 total reimbursement for a trash can that was dented, and that covered full replacement cost of $200 plus $100 for something else pointed out. We communicated with the customer that we found a furniture repair specialist in her home town for a 3rd party, non biased opinion. Meanwhile, we received emails and pictures from the customer showing scratches on legs of the couches that she later admitted have been moved multiple times due to her job.  We decided to air on the side of caution and allow a professional repair company to come in and evaluate.  The repair shop came back with an estimate of $1,500 to repair items that he suggested could not have been all of our responsibility.  This gentleman has 35 years of furniture repair experience.  He was not convinced this was all of A to B movers fault from his expert opinion.  That being said, we still offered the customer the complete $1,500 without disputing what was told to us by a 3rd party, unbiased repair shop and also kept our word on the $300 made by team members on site.  That totals $1,800 we offered and have since applied that total deduction to the invoice. The estimated weight of the customers items that were damaged is about 1,000lbs, and it is $0.60/per pound repair matrix that the federal motor coach requires moving companies to provide.  That by law would only require $600 reimbursement, which we felt was too low and we wanted to do more to come to a solution where we could leave the customer happy.
