My wife, ****** ******, visited ****************** of ***************** on March 21st, 2025. She declared to the ************** that she is a self pay patient and paid them $218.25 for the exam. ************** contracts with Advanced Medical Imaging Consultants P.C. AMI sent us an additional bill we were not expecting for the same visit via text and US Mail to read the mammogram test performed. Not expecting this bill, I called AMI on 4/25/25 at 2:58 PM MT. The representative who spoke to me explained the cost is to read the exam results, but that ****** should have been labeled a self pay patient and the charge should have been 25% less. I was told that the billing will be updated to a self pay patient, but that I need to wait for the new corrected bill to regenerate.I never received a new bill, so I called AMI again on 5/13/25 at 10:37 A.M. MT. The representative who answered that call stated that, what I was told on the previous call is incorrect. *** would not be revising the bill. Despite receiving a bill payable via text and *******, this representative said that I could only pay over the phone a reduced amount. I demanded them to send me either A) a revised bill for the lower amount as a self pay patient as was disclosed to the ************* of Norther Colorado at time of service or b) a bill that states a prompt pay discount will be applied for 25% as I was told on the 1st phone call. The representative on the 2nd phone call said my call was being escalated to a manager and the manager will call me within 24 hours.I have never received a call back to this day from AMI and then yesterday 5/19/25, I received the same inflated bill.I have never received in writing from Advanced Medical Imaging Consultants, P.C. that the bill should be $189 despite their own representative telling that amount on the phone call on 4/25/25. I am asking for your help to ensure when I pay $189, that my wife's balance will be complete for the 3/21/25 exam.

Thank you for making us aware of this concern.  We've reviewed Ms. ******* account and her balance is eligible for a 25% discount.  That discount of $63.00 has now been applied.  In addition, we have initiated more training for the customer service staff to better understand this process.  ************* would like to discuss this with us or if she needs more information, she may reach out to us at our **************** or call me directly.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *****,

On 9/19/23 I had a mammogram performed and ultrasound at ****** ******* ******* Advanced medical imaging consultants were the one who performed it. I didn't receive any bills from them until almost a year later. My insurance covered the price except $8.23. But the bill I have received from them was $392.67- full amount. Why didn't the business contact me earlier with that? Why did they wait a year? I called my insurance, they have no idea why would Advanced medical imaging consultants send me a bill after all this time for a full amount. I tried to get some information on charges from the business but they closed my account and sold it to collections. I can't get explanation from anyone. Please help

I had an xray done on 9/12/23. I was given an estimate of $78.40. I paid $78.40 when I received the xray. I WAS NOT ADVISED OF ANY EXTRA CHARGES. After that the facility sent me a bill for ANOTHER $164. I disputed that through BBB. The facility, UC Health, agreed to delete the extra charge.

Now, Advance Medical Imaging has sent me ANOTHER bill for $53. I spoke to them and they admitted that patients were not being advised of this extra charge, but they declined to credit it. I was not advised of it before or during the xray. I seek a credit for the $53.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/23/2023

The patient was seen at the facility on
9/12/23.  At the time of check in, the patient was provided and signed a
Facility Consent form which included the following language:

    “I understand that
I may receive bills from health care professionals who provide services to or
for me, including but not limited to radiologists, surgical assistants,
pathologists and anesthesiologists and advanced practice providers, who may not
be employees of Facility and may send a separate bill.  I understand that
those professionals may assist in my care at the request of my provider, who
has my authorization to engage their services.  It is up to me to pay for
these services.  If I have a payment plan with Facility about paying my
bills, I also need to make a separate payment plan for the services of these
professionals.  I grant those providers access to this Agreement.”

    Advanced Medical Imaging Consultants'
radiologists are contracted with this UCHealth facility to provide radiology
interpretations to assist treating providers with the interpretations for exams
taken at the facility.  The Consent of Service, signed by the patient,
provides notification that additional services such as radiologic
interpretations like the one provided to the patient are separately
    billable.

I am rejecting this response because: I was never provided the form that they claim (either in hard copy or electronically). Instead, I was asked to sign a blank screen that also did not contain the form or any language as they suggest.  I signed the blank screen because they would not do the x-ray otherwise.
