Contracted them to replace a main water line that was leaking. I was later told by another plumber that there was no need to replace the whole water line after they had installed it. I never received a written estimate for the job. They never pulled permits prior to the job. I constantly asked for proof, pictures and the plumbers report because my insurance needed them. My insurance claim was denied because they never received any of the information they needed from JT plumbing even when they contacted them themselves. The last day of the install the technician told me that there was no water flow to my house because the pipes were frozen and to blast a heater in the crawl space and that should fix it. They also had me sign 2 blank screens that according to the technician stated that they had been working there all week and that they had installed the pipe. When they finally sent the invoice days later, it said i had signed that i was satisfied with the work and that it was done properly. I called multiple times after to inform them that i had no water and was told that they couldn't do anything unless i wanted to upgrade to their next package which cost 8 thousand dollars more. After a month of having no water i called in another company which cut the pipe open just to discover it was packed with dirt from the installation and that is why i had no water to my house. I had to pay that plumber 300 dollars just to fix what they couldn't be bothered to finish. I have multiple calls recorded between myself a jt plumbing.Business Response

We replaced the water line due to frozen pipes. We have provided the customer pictures of these frozen pipes. We have also continually reached out to the customers insurance providing 40+ pictures of our repairs/replacement. No communication from either Customer/insurance in 30+ days.Initial Complaint

2022 We had our mainline replaced by JT Plumbing services. Originally paid $33,000 for the replacement, the sprinkler lines to be replaced and the yard restored. The sprinkler lines were not replaced or repaired, leaving us with out a system. They then filled the trench with chunks of patio concrete, trash, and dirt. Flow fill was barely an inch. It quickly caved in three months later. 2024 We had an inspection, found water was sitting 1.5" deep 10 feet from cleanout. ** was called and asked to look into it for warranty repaired. They came, asked us to prove that they did the work 2 years earlier, once we did by providing the excavation companies contact that they hired in the first place they decided to start finding the problem. They found a bent pipe that they call the cities fault. How does cast pipe move in 2 years. Then sent us an invoice for $20,496 without any authorization.Business Response

*******, our work was done to full satisfaction, nothing was wrong with the work that we performed. We stood by our warranty included with your project. In the end this was NOT a warranty, but the city tap that had failed. We did not charge you for these costly repairs due do it having to do with the city. You were charged $0 and paid $0 due this situation being handled in good faith by JT Plumbing Heating & Air. This case is to be closed for the reasons stated above. Thanks.Initial Complaint

On 8/8/24 we found standing water in our utility closet from our ac unit, our water remediation contractor called JT Plumbing, ************* to come out and fix it. We paid $149 after hrs fee only to have the tech say he doesn't diagnose ac units & would have someone else come out the next day. ***** along with another technician from JT Plumbing came out 8/9/24 and diagnosed it - frozen ** coils that unfroze and created a blocked condensation drain pipe. We would need to instal new *** piping and recommended installing a safety switch, which we agreed to. He said he would come back to fix the piping & instal the switch because he didn't have enough material and time to fix it. When ***** was inside talking with us the other technician went to the ** unit outside. We later discovered he cracked the top part to the unit and said nothing to us. ***** left, 2 hrs later 2 other technicians from JT Plumbing came and fixed the *** piping. They left and we noticed that they installed the *** piping incorrectly, instead of going back behind the ** unit as it was before, they put it directly in front of our filters. ***** was still supposed to come back out to install the unnecessary switch but we did not feel that this company did quality work and told them not to come back out and to have a manager call me to discuss. They did not call me back. We paid the $395 invoice for the work that they did which states ** unit was checked for leakage and functionality. When our insurance sent them a form to fill out for our claim to state the diagnostics they won't. They say it's because I told them to not come back out that day and the job isn't completed. I have called multiple times along with my insurance company to get this resolved and they refuse. I've paid for the work they've done, I would like them to sign the form that states what the diagnosis is so we can move on from this.Business Response

We did not install the *** incorrectly. We were not finished with the job. You had a handyman out there that was trying to fix this issue, then shortly realized he was incapable of completing the said job. You did not allow us to finish our install job, after many many phone call communications. You then asked us to sign off on insurance papers stating all was completed to satisfaction. Your handyman messed with our work so unfortunately no we did not fully finish due to you not allowing us to. We did alert you that we would be unable to sign fraudulent insurance papers.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: The *** pipe was installed incorrectly which is clear in the pictures. It was installed in front of the filters so we are unable to change the filters without removing the piping. Before JT Plumbing, Heating & Air incorrectly fixed the piping, it was installed behind the unit so we could change our filters as most ************ require. We did not have a handyman out to fix this issue, nor mess with the work JT Plumbing, Heating & Air performed. I have the invoice from the other company that can confirm they were not there to diagnose/fix the **** nor the *** pipe. I made all the phone calls to talk to someone who could help resolve this issue and was told the owner would reach out to me, that never happened. I have proof of that per my phone records.

Complaint: 22218326
I am rejecting this response because: I declined to have someone back out to fix the issue that same day because of everything that happened. Pipe installed in front of filter cabinet and another tech cracked the top of our outside a/c unit and didn't tell us. It made me concerned and question if the technicians knew what they were doing, what if they came back out and something else went wrong. So I asked to have management/owner call me so I could go over the issues before having them come back out. No management/owner ever called me back after my many attempts. It's one thing to do poor work but to not reach out to the customer to at least hear what happened is mind boggling.

*******, we went back and forth so many times, we have 7 phone call interactions recorded in our software. We made many attempts to make things 100% right. Then we were asked to sign papers that do not have to do with our work. We declined and you decided to come to the BBB. We unfortunately will not be able to sign fraudulent insurance papers. We would like this case closed as we've done everything we can on our end. Thanks.Initial Complaint

Customer Problem: Repeated sewer line clogs
Description of work on contract: ” Permanent Solution” to prevent sewer line clogs by lining the pipes with 3 coats of epoxy.
Contract signed: August 28, 2023 (Invoice 36087875)
Complaint #1: Only 2 coats of epoxy were applied to my lines instead of the specified 3. They were supposed to apply 1 coat per day on September 6, 7, and 8 to allow drying time for each layer per the contract. We were out of town, but they only did work on September 6 and 7th evidenced by video recordings. On September 7th, they were only at my house 52 minutes from the time they pulled into the driveway until they left. When I questioned them about this discrepancy, the owner said they did some kind of “quick cure” and applied two coats on one day. Communication with the technician doing the work and the project manager/supervisor also led me to believe only 2 coats of epoxy were applied instead of 3.
Complaint #2: After the work was completed, I continued to have clogs in my sewer line indicating the service recommended and provided was not effective. I had clogs on 10/26/23, 11/17/23, 11/30/23, 12/13/23. JT Plumbing responded to the clogs on 10/26 and 11/17 but charged me $395 for the 11/17 visit saying it was not covered by the warranty. At this time, I was told only the epoxy and application was warrantied. I contend the epoxy and workmanship contribute to effectiveness of the solution, and all of these must be covered by the warranty.
Complaint #3: Despite multiple attempts via email, telephone, and USPS mail (11/30/23, 12/1/23, 12/13/23, 12/18/23, 2/3/24) I have been unsuccessful at reaching the JT Plumbing owner to discuss the matter of the one-year warranty. In November, he was communicating with me and offered to come to my house to help get to the root cause. Then he “ghosted me”. On February 5, 2024 , I sent a registered letter. On February 26th the letter was returned as “not deliverable”.Business Response

Hi ******.
Thank you for reaching out. I have attached the following screenshot for your review in hopes that you will see that you were not intentionally "ghosted". I did send you a message asking what date and time worked better for you.
If your mail was returned, we have moved. We are now at 1833 E Harmony Rd Unit 7b.
Is there a time where we can chat and come to a resolution to this situation?

I am rejecting this response because: I do believe they have ignored my attempts to reach them and were unwilling to address my concerns.1. The email she claims to have sent me on December 1, 2023 was actually sent from their admin address, [email protected] to their owner, Justin Mort<[email protected], and was not sent to me. Therefore, the company never responded to this email or the other subsequent emails/calls from me .
2. The registered letter that was returned said " RETURN TO SENDER NOT DELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED UNABLE TO FORWARD" . I accept they have moved but why would they not provide a forwarding address so they could responsibly conduct their business?
3. How do they know the materials and workmanship for the epoxy coating of my sewer pipes does not have a problem? Can they provide evidence that they actually applied 3 coatings of epoxy? I would like them to pay for an independent, reputable plumber of my choosing to qualitatively evaluated my sewer lines.

The tankless water heater needed a **** fitting replaced, as per recommended by the gas company who inspected my home recently. The gas company technician explained exactly what needed be done by a plumber. The gas supply was shut off and I contacted JT Plumbing and explained in detail the service need for the replacement fitting. When plumber arrived, he said he didnt have the proper fitting and went to his truck to give be an estimate. He said it would be a $2,200 minimum and potentially as high as $4,000 due to the liability involved. My only option to the outrageous estimate was to pay $83 for basically answering the door. The $83 dollars was what the plumber called an assessment fee. But, nothing was assessed. The gas company had left a copy of their assessment. The only thing pending was replacement of the **** fitting and the gas company was willing to return the same afternoon once replaced to turn the gas back on. It truly was a set up to collect $83 for nothing, as the estimate for actual work was so inflated that it was not a viable option.Customer Answer

We apologize for the earlier confusion. You paid $79 consultation fee, which you were told before even booking your appointment. Consultation fees are extremely common for local trades companies. You stated you would remove your complaint if we refunded you. Our office reached out to you 4/24 @11:35am to discuss the refund. We stated we can absolutely refund your $79 once the review is removed. More often than not has JT refunded/made things right and the customer never held up their end. The office asked please remove your review and a refund check of $79 will be dropped in the mail immediately. You began raising your voice stating NO you owe me $89 and then hung up on our staff. Our staff reached back out at 11:37am with no response or returned phone call. ****** we have proof of your $79 payment. You declined our offer of a full refund. We ask to please remove/close this complaint as there is nothing else we can do. Thanks! We have phones recordings and tried uploading a picture of proof of payment which the BBB site would not upload. Wed be more than happy to email this evidence over.Initial Complaint

On August 31 I called JT Plumbing Heating and Air because the kitchen sink was clogged. They came the same day and told me that it was going to be $395 for a job that was going to take 20 min tops. After a couple of hours trying with different kinds of "snakes" and a video camera the plumber called back up. The person who came to "help" told me that in order to fix it they needed to open a route through a wall and that it would be an extra $1000. The only help that he provided was in trying to pressure me as the customer to pay for a much more expensive service. I was told at the end that the policy of "we only charge if we fix it" did not apply. I was charged the $395 and was left with the same problem. I called another plumber and the issue was fixed within the hour for a fraction of the price that JT plumbing wanted to charge me. NOTE: I refused to signed the receipt agreeing that the job had been completed to my satisfactionBusiness Response

Clarification on Kitchen Line Service Charge
Hi ********,
We hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to clarify the recent service charge of $395 for the work we performed to unclog your kitchen line.
As you know, we sent two of our skilled technicians to your home, who dedicated a total of six hours to diagnosing and addressing the issue. During their visit, they discovered that the problem stemmed from a tee fitting that had been installed incorrectly underground. This was the root cause of the ongoing clogging issue you experienced.
After assessing the situation, our experts explained that additional services would be necessary to properly resolve the problem. We understand that you chose not to proceed at that time, as you wanted to consult with the plumber who installed the fitting.
Given the time and expertise our team invested in your home, we believe the charge is fair and reflective of the following:
1. **Time and Expertise**: Our technicians spent six hours diagnosing the issue and providing you with a detailed explanation. This level of service requires significant expertise and effort.
2. **Assessment and Recommendations**: Our team identified the underlying cause of the clog and informed you of the necessary steps to rectify it. This proactive communication is part of our commitment to delivering high-quality service.
3. **Operational Costs**: The service fee helps cover the costs associated with sending qualified professionals to your home, including their time, expertise, and the tools snake/camera used during the assessment.
We understand that you were in the process of addressing the fitting issue with the original plumber, Lupe. However, the time and resources we dedicated to your situation warrant the charge.
If you have any further questions or would like to discuss this matter in more detail, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you!
Best regards,

I have tried to resolve my issue with JT Plumbing for over 1 month. They came to my home on Fri 8/18 for a partially backed up basement line and left my home and plumbing worse. I ended up with NO plumbing or AC over a weekend in a 1 bath home. The tech **** showed up with no camera, other equipment not working, damaged my new tile bath floor and the face of 5 new cabinets. He asked what I was willing to spend so he could prepare custom price before beginning and charged me for time moving broken equipment in and out, and mystery after hours rates. He was arrogant, unprofessional, and focused on his camping trip that night. A second tech, ******, arrived who was very professional, but obvious they were clashing about how to address the situation. **** ended up aborting resolution claiming my line had collapsed. Week of 8/20, I called several times for the owner. 8/25 dispatcher **** returned my call and for the 4th time I asked for the owner or highest manager. 8/30, manager ****** called me on speaker phone with dispatcher **** where I shared my concerns and experience and asked that they refund my full bill of $1671.00. Several times during our conversation, she said, yes, I heard about that. I asked how she would have heard. She said ****** came to her on Monday, asked not to be paired with ****, that he was unprofessional how he spoke to and treated me, and that he was embarrassed with what had transpired. ****** investigated, found issues, and fired ********* She asked that I text her photos of the damage, and to give her several days to address. Not hearing back from her, I called on 9/6. She did not seem to remember me or anything about my case until I prompted with several details. Then said oh, your file is flagged to discuss with the owner, he is to be in this afternoon or tomorrow, I will get back to you. I have not heard from her since! She has not returned any of my 4 calls I made through the 15th. I decided to stop calling and file this.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: My original request of Credit for the amount of the bill which was set by *** Plumbing was reasonable and already a compromise. I did not ask for the full amount of the financial expense I incurred from their work. It excluded the cost of repairing damage to bath tile, kitchen cabinets, and temporary housing cost for the 4 days I was left without any working plumbing and HVAC. I also held off so far on submitting reviews on ****** and Yelp.
I am willing to retract the negative review with agreement to my request above. It is worth noting that if my calls had been returned with genuine effort to resolve this months ago, I would not have posted a factual complaint here.

I am rejecting this response because: they are still not providing quality anything and their offers and attempt to resolve is insulting - they are dismissing and misrepresenting the facts and its their 2nd weak attempt to resolve in over 4 months. Coming back - they were going to come back sometime on Monday, not next day. Sunday eve i called to cancel them after I had had a second opinion come on Sunday who dx the problem within 15 minutes of arrival because they showed up with a camera unlike JT. They partially fixed it and arrived early next day with staff and what was required to complete. They then put toilet, Washer/Dryer and all other appliances back in place that JT dismantled and left. Charge for the quality work was $425 (ave market rate). BIG difference in price and quality of work. They were baffled with the damages to my home and its condition. From the start, I have only asked for JT Plumbing to reimburse me their fee back, not damages. They can't seem to recognize this consideration. But, total cost of tile floor, cabinet damage repair (both newly completed 10 days earlier!), and Fri-Sun accommodations for no plumbing impact was - $ 2110 + JT charge $1671 = $3781.
I will accept their first offer to resolve of 50% but 50% of my total cost of JT "work" so that would be $1890.50 ( 50% of the $3781) The cost of the second opinion and fix is not even included but it was $425 to dx, fix, and rest toilet, all plumbing appliances pulled by JT).

Has JT Plumbing asked BBB to offer Binding Arbitration or agreed to Binding Arbitration as a next step to resolve our dispute?Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I accept your offer to have my complaint ID 20685064, to be handled through an Arbitration hearing with BBB. If the business does not want to accept this offer also and would rather resolve it now so it does not reflect poorly on their record for three years, my original ask of them stands - refunding me their full charge of $1600.
Please note that arbitration will actually cost me even more money since I am self-employed and have to block out billable time appear. During arbitration my ask will be presented as the total cost to me of having business with them so that will include their above market proprietary charge to me, cost of all damages to my property by their staff, etc.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business, which is the same offer made in January of 2024, which i rejected because it is less than half of the cost I paid them to break my plumbing for a weekend and damage my property. And yes, **** the tech doing this work was let go immediately but yet, didn't feel it appropriate to credit me for at least the cost of his poor work, disrespect, damage to my property, and put my full plumbing out of service over a weekend when it was not necessary. At this point, If you feel this is a fair, equitable and quality resolution, I will accept your offer of $1000 with prompt payment or refund.

BBB,
With all due respect to BBB process, why would you close this case before the resolution has been verified complete? Feedback for BBB process improvement and the appropriate channels - Putting the responsibility on me to file to reopen the case / complaint if resolution not received adds additional responsibility to me unfairly and takes the incentive and responsibility off the Business who i had to file a complaint with BBB to even get them to be held somewhat accountable to start with. Further its closed before the business probably even read my response.
Thank you for incorporating process improvement up to the appropriate channels.

I am a medically permanently disabled housebound Veteran On August 8th, 2023 I paid $985.00 to your company to clean a drain, only had to go approximately ***** feet to clear it. It backed up again on August 8th, 2023 and was "cleared to the street" on August 9th, 2023. On August 12th, 2023 it backed up once again. On August 14th, 2023 ********************* came and stated that he was a Master ******* and a supervisor. ************** said that he could not get the snake to go any further and that there was a serious issue with the pipes and it would need an expensive repair to be operational. ************** did say that we could get a 2nd opinion and (sadly because of my circumstances and believing that everything was legitimate), I trusted that what I was being told was what the issue was and did not do so for about a week and a half. ************** gave me two estimates of $38,545.00 (estimate #: ********) and $35,289.00 (estimate #: ********) to repair the issue. He said that it could be temporarily fixed cheaper but it would fail again, and if it does could cause the cost of the repair to shoot up to $80,000 or more. My homeowners insurance would cover $10,000 of it, so I would need to come up with approx $25,000 way beyond what I had. Since we were basically without running water we went to stay in a hotel while we continued to try and get the funds together to get it repaired. We spent 13 days in a hotel, had to use a laundromat, and eat out due to no kitchen facilities. The total cost for the hotel stay was $2,446.89. The cost to do laundry was $120.00. The cost for food was $1200. That is also not including the $985, that was paid initially and the problem wasn't fixed. I discovered after the fact that there are only 2 returns for ********************* on the ******** license lookup. One that has an expired apprentice license and one with a pending one that was issued in March of 2023, possibly in violation of Colo. Rev. ***** **********, amongst the other discrepancies.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Did not address my complaints.
A plumber apprentice was sent out unsupervised, in violation of ******** law. This apprentice (whether with the knowledge/backing of JT Plumbing and Electric) attempted to take advantage and defraud of a disabled veteran and his need for running water in his house, for an expensive fix that would not have solved the issue. Because he claimed he was a master plumber and supervisor, I believed that he knew what he was talking about and trustworthy. I never said that ***** wasn't licensed, I said he misrepresented himself as such in order to pull of the fraud. Again your company sent him out unsupervised against ******** law.
Amongst the issues is also that you, yourself claimed that there was orangeburg pipe that was causing the issue, and nowhere in the line is orangeberg piping, as verified when it was repaired. I do not dispute that there was an issue with the mainline, as it was repaired by another company and as the invoice states there was no orangeberg anywhere.
Because of this fraud attempt I had to pay $4,751 out of pocket for living arrangements (includes the original $985 when your company first came out).
If you make a good effort attempt to actually address my complaints then I can accept your response and close it. So far that hasn't been done and your response leads me to believe that your response is just an attempt to cover your **** and not make this right.

When we go to our customers home, we definitely want to provide permanent resolutions. Providing multiple options is standard so you can chose the best option that suits your family. I can assure you that we care and want to make sure the issue is addressed so they can get back to their lives.
Im sorry if there was a miscommunication with ***** being a master plumber. We have our contractors license and Master Plumbers available but to clarify, no he is not a Master Plumber.
Its unfortunate that the issue was reoccurring. The option that you chose wasnt a permanent resolution and if I remember correctly, this has happened to you before. As you may remember there are no cleanouts outside so things can be difficult to address.
I will speak with ****** about a resolution and hope that we can come to a happy medium.

I am rejecting this response because:There isnt a resolution provided except a promise to talk to the owner to find a happy medium. While I would like to get there, I can not close this complaint while there isnt one offered. Also for my responses to the response.
"When we go to our customers home, we definitely want to provide permanent resolutions. Providing multiple options is standard so you can chose the best option that suits your family. I can assure you that we care and want to make sure the issue is addressed so they can get back to their lives."
The solution your company provided was not for the issue that I had. Again there were no orangeberg pipes anywhere within my plumbing system as verified by 2 different companies as well as when the repair was completed by one of those companies. You say that you care and the fact is that one of your employees tried to DEFRAUD a disabled veteran.
"Im sorry if there was a miscommunication with ***** being a master plumber. We have our contractors license and Master Plumbers available but to clarify, no he is not a Master Plumber."
There was no miscommunication. He claimed to be one to help in his attempt to defraud me. This is and the fact that you sent an apprentice plumber out to a job site unsupervised. Looking at you disciplinary actions on the state ************** this hasn't been the first time your company has done this, so you should know better.
Its unfortunate that the issue was reoccurring. The option that you chose wasnt a permanent resolution and if I remember correctly, this has happened to you before. As you may remember there are no cleanouts outside so things can be difficult to address. "
The only time that it was recurring was the multiple times I contacted your company to unclog it initially, which didn't stick and then led to ***** being sent out who tried to run the scam to increase the cost of the repair about $20,000. The option that I chose (and would of done it had I had the money and luckily in trying to obtain the money was told to get two more estimates and discovered the attempt at the scam) was the one ***** tried to run the scam with. The only issue at that point in time was how I was going to pay for it. Again luckily in getting the other estimates (to try and get help to pay for the scam), the scam was discovered. This was after all the money I spent housing/feeding/etc myself and family in a hotel for 3 weeks trying to get the money together to pay for the scam. Once the scam was "unveiled" and confirmed by the 3rd company, the real repair could be completed, and was covered by my homeowners insurance policy. Had the scam not been tried then the repair could of been done much sooner, and we would not have had to stay in a hotel.
"I will speak with ****** about a resolution and hope that we can come to a happy medium."
I hope that we can too. Though to be honest it doesn't seem like you are accepting responsibility, though I could be misinterpreting . I await your response as well as your proposed solution and we will go from there.

Due to doing work in that area and coming across ********** in other areas, we are fairly certain your lines will continue to back up. We stand behind our work and have come back to readdress the issues that are present in your home. As we recommended, please refrain from using wipes and any other material's that *** cause further damage to your lines. Upon going to your home we were able to clear the line, and made recommendations. Unfortunately due to the conditions of the lines and not getting them addressed, these things will continue to happen. The refund for the $985 that you have requested, although I understand your position, we were able to clear the line as requested. This cleaning however, wouldnt totally eliminate the underlying issues with your lines. Athough it wasnt the outcome we had hoped for, we were able to clear the line, and provide you with the recommendations to make the other repairs needed. Please let me know how we can come to a happy medium, as we want to make sure we take care of all of our customers.

I am rejecting this response because:Company despite stating that they want to come to a resolution, still refuses to admit any wrong doing or making any attempt to rectify the situation. I have listed the issues, and with each response the company does not address them and decides to bring up other issues. This was repaired months ago, and we have not had a single issue since the repair was done by another company who verified that JT were trying to run a scam on a disabled veteran.
Since there has been no good faith efforts to come to a satisfactory resolution, I will be taking the next appropriate legal steps including hiring appropriate legal counsel as well as making complaints with revelant state plumbing boards.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:It's been almost 2 years since this complaint was started on 9/26/23, with JT Plumbing and Electric's last reply was on 11/20/2023. I am assuming they are responding with this attempt at re-writing what happened because they are trying to become BBB accredited and my unresolved complaint is holding that up, (though that is speculation on my part). Even though the initial complaint was censored for some reason (and as stated in the initial complaint), the first eyes on was a plumbers apprentice (at the time per Colorado Plumbers Licensing Board), named Shane. Trey showed up on the 2nd visit, and the response goes downhill from there. If needed, I can post the invoices from the company that actually fixed the issue (which hasn't repeated since that company fixed it, almost 2 years ago), that directly shows the estimate that JT Plumbing and Electric stated the issue was to try and defraud me. In order to not re-hash the things that were previously stated, I will just say that looking at complaints that followed mine, JT Plumbing and Heating continues to try and dance around the complaints, gaslight the complainants, and try and make it appear that they are willing to fix the complaint...then in the next responses walk that offer back. Since the plumbing issue was handled by another company and hasn't recurred, the money I spent because of JT's attempted fraud was long spent, and my severe medical issues I had just let it go and did not pursue it further besides complaints to the BBB, Colorado Attorney General, and Colorado License Board. If I wasn't so sick I would have pursued legal and civil action. BBB offered arbitration on 12/02/25 which I accepted...with no further responses from JT Plumbing and Electric until today 6/5/2025...almost 2 years later. At this point, because I have already spent the money and moved on, and JT did not respond to the arbitration I am not sure what they could do to get me to close this case besides reimbursing all of the money paid to them, as well as the expenses I had to pay while I tried to secure the funding for their scam prices (hotel, food, laundry) etc. I am pretty sure that will not happen as each complaint shows JT Plumbing and Electric will not take accountability and their "offers" to resolve it are hollow and only designed to get the complaint closed. If this somehow happens I will close the complaint. If not I will not close it, as the issue hasn't been resolved. I think it is more likely that the BBB would auto-close it. That being said if someone from JT Plumbing and Electric wants to contact me to try and give me a good faith resolution, I will listen to it.

We kindly ask that you revisit our response to your initial complaint. Please revisit the summaries (description of work completed on that specific day, by each specific service expert) We are thankful that we were given the opportunity to provide our side of the story that clearly outlines the work completed by JT Plumbing Heating & Air was completed out of Good Faith and the estimate you approved was 100% completed and then some. Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:Hi *****,
Response to complaint:
Again there is no accountability and gaslighting. They can not even keep their responses in order, which is ironic because you ask me to revisit it, and then claim what you have submitted was what happened. Earlier in the response chain they acknowledge that the first plumbed on site was an apprentice (which again sending an apprentice unsupervised on a job is against Colorado law, and then in their first response in almost 2 years, they claim that it was Trey who first had eyes on the plumbing issue. The facts are your company attempted to take advantage of a Severely medically vulnerable Veteran and his family. Your employees used the situation to attempt to defraud him because of his medical needs to enrich yourselves. You violated Colorado law by sending an apprentice unsupervised to a job site, created a fake issue (stating there was orangburg piping in the system) to attempt get 4 times what the actual repair would cost, as verified by the plumbers that actually fixed the issue and documented the issue as well as the lack of orangeburg piping., with the issue not happening again since. So no your company did not directly cause the issues, but it did create the environment where the Veteran and his family had to stay in a hotel (after the veteran had surgery) so they could have access to plumbing while they figured out how to pay the $40k estimate given by JT employees. That is until an honest company was located to verify the estimates, disputed them and fixed the issue (permanently) and was covered by the homeowners insurance , so the vet and his family was able to go back and live in his own house. But I guess you think attempting to charge 4 times to fix a non existent problem is good faith.
As I stated yesterday I wrote off being repaid when your company did not respond to the BBB's arbitration request. The only reason I brought it up reimbursing me again was because you somehow thought that trying to resolve the almost two year old complaint by continuing to gaslight and evade taking accountability was a good idea. If you do not want to reimburse me for the costs, then I will accept you making donations for the requested reimbursement amount to the ******** ******** ******** ******** ****** ******************************** *** *** ******** *********** **********************************. Those are your options for having me close this complaint as resolved.

I do want to add, in reviewing the email I sent that JT Plumbing and Heating was correct in Trey coming out first and then after it back up the Plumber Apprentice came out and tried to run the scam. I am also including the information from the company that fixed the issue and where they state there was no orangeburg pipe in the lines at all. If needed I can pull up statements for the hotel and food from that period, showing the amount spent. I am also including paperwork they submitted to my homeowners insurance to get the work paid for. If needed I can also send the paperwork from the insurance company, but would have to dig for it, again because this is so old. Since I used credit cards and it was so long ago, to pay for them, it might take a bit of work, but I can provide them. As I stated in my last two responses, I have already written of being reimbursed (and I am an extremely ill veteran), so I do not want to be "bogged down" in this. I offered JT two options that I believe are fair and would be less than they would likely be responsible for had I started a small claims action and fully pursued state legal action, if they choose to take it great, if not then I don't think they should be able to make this problem just disappear. I am again willing to do any kind of mediation/arbitration within the limits of my illnesses,
Respectfully Submitted,

On 06/19, JT Plumbing arrived at 11:30am to look at and repair pinhole leaks in our waterline. He said he would not be able to touch or repair the old quest lines and that the entire home would need to be re-piped. I was quoted just over $14,000.00 to re-pipe the whole house with pex line. I also discussed mitigation/restoration (M/R) with him. He said M/R would be out 06/20. They never showed. The office stated they would be out 06/21 with the plumbers. They never showed.06/21 the work began on the line replacement. The work to the line took place over several days and was finally completed on 06/23. Several leaks were found on the new lines and the plumbers fixed them. M/R never showed as promised. On 06/22, the owner, ******, had come out and my daughter and I spoke with him. He said the work would be completed soon. He asked about m/r and we told him several calls had been made to his office with no call back and nobody showed. I told him I would be interested in m/r but that I would need a quote. He also stated that his company would submit all the paperwork to my insurance company. A small high velocity fan, dehumidifier, and large fan arrived the afternoon of 06/22.M/R showed up the afternoon of 06/23. He stated he would let the equipment run over the weekend and be back out on Monday. He never returned. My insurance adjuster and I have continuously attempted to get a quote and dry logs, moisture readings, and dimensions from JT for the M/R portion. I have never received a call back and my insurance adjuster said she has gotten no phone call back nor return emails for her requests.I reached JT and said I would not be going with them on 07/07. A warehouse person came and removed the equipment, and I received an invoice for $6695 which included $2931.50 for an air scrubber that was never here. An immediate phone call to dispute the bill was made and ** made no attempt to call and discuss with me or my insurance company's dispute department.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:On 9/25 I received a threatening email and updated invoice from JT Plumbing. The demand said to pay the bill in full in 24 hours or they will start the lien process. The air scrubber charge was removed from the invoice and equipment charges were for 11 days. At 1:38pm I received a text from ****** letting me know about the revised bill and that they had sent photos to the insurance adjuster. I asked if all requested documents were sent so an assessment could be completed. She said yes. I said I would check with the insurance adjuster and send a partial payment. Once I confirmed that the insurance had received the requested documents, I sent JT Plumbing a check for $1,000.00 on 9/26.
On 9/28 and 9/29 I sent text messages to ****** letting her know they have the info and that it is under review. I didnt receive any response back. On 10/3 I received documents from the insurance adjuster to include the mitigation assessment from Accuserve. It is attached to this complaint. On 10/4 and 10/5 I reviewed the information sent and response from JT Plumbing to the BBB complaint. On 10/6 I called JT Plumbing, asked for ******, **** took the message and ****** did not call me back.
I disagree with the revised invoice and will not sign it. JT Plumbing never supplied me with a quote. I requested a quote several times and I never signed an agreement to use them for mitigation/restoration services. I continued to try to reach them as shown in the attached documents. Additionally, JT Plumbing did not supply Accuserve with enough documentation to justify charging for 11 days of mitigation (see Accuserve attachment). I am only willing to pay for the scope supported by the industry standards laid out by Accuserve. This amount is $1,150.04. The information JT Plumbing sent had too many gaps in dry logs and insufficient readings.
I am also requesting all copies of the documents (moisture readings, dry logs, and dimensions) that were sent to the insurance company for the assessment. The only day the mitigation team was in my home was Friday,6/23. It was ***** and another gentleman. ***** looked at the job, said to let equipment run over the weekend and he would check again on Monday. I did not see him take any sort of moisture reading at that time. Furthermore, nobody came out on Monday or any day after that.

Last time we spoke you asked for the adjustment for the Air Scrubber, we completed that for you. We were there multiple times (I have attached the appointments we have listed on your profile). We have tried to be accommodating to your home and try to help you to the best of our abilities. I apologize if this is not something you think we have done for you.
Upon getting started we had plumbers and ***** was there as you stated, ***** isnt the only technician with knowledge of moisture readings. I apologize if it wasnt communicated with you that those readings were being taken. Our plumbers had to make sure things were drying up to avoid mold growing so readings are necessary and insurance companies require them.

I am rejecting this response because:
You responded that you received a check today, 10/23. You emailed another invoice on 10/30 and it doesnt include this payment.
On 7/7/23 when we received the invoice, your office was called and informed that we were not paying for an air scrubber that was never here. On 8/9/23 I received a text from **** stating I owe $6,695.00. I responded again there was not an air scrubber at our house and I wasnt paying for one.
8/29/23 I hadnt heard anything from JT Plumbing so I called their office. I asked to speak to ******, the owner of the company, **** took my information and said he would call me back. He never did.
9/8/23 I filed the complaint with BBB.
9/25/23 JT Plumbing sent another invoice for $3,184.50 and a threatening email if not paid in 24 hours. It took your company 2 months to delete an air scrubber off the invoice and you send me a threatening email? At 1:38 I had a text conversation with ******. She said documents were sent to insurance. I said I will make a payment but wont pay the whole amount and will get with the adjuster. On 9/27/23 I mailed a $1,000.00 check to them. I texted ****** on 9/25 @ 5:33, 9/28 and 9/29 and she didnt respond to any of them. I called on 10/6 to speak with ******, **** took the message. ****** never called back.
10/3/23 I received documents from our insurance. The report is attached to this complaint and I sent a copy to JT Plumbing along with my final payment of $150.04 on 10/16/23. There were too many gaps in dry logs and insufficient readings. They wouldnt justify the equipment to be here for 11 days. They justified 3.
Appointment profile:
6/23: The plumbers finished the new water lines. Mitigation team, ***** and another man came. ***** said let it dry out over the weekend and h*** be back on Monday, 6/26. We never saw ***** again.
7/7: sewer main: What is this? There was no sewer work done.
7/7: water heater The water heater fitting was leaking. ******* came and repaired it.
7/7: water heater What is this? The water heater was worked on once.
7/18: water main: There a leak at a fitting of the main line. I called on 7/17. They texted they would be here by 4pm. Never showed. They came on 7/18 to repair the fitting. He asked if the office called to let me know their truck broke down on the 17th. I told him no, they didnt inform me.
I requested from you the moisture readings and dry logs. Instead you sent your appt. profile. Does that mean those are the dates the readings were done? These are dates that I requested a repair. Why didnt ***** come on the 6/26 or shortly thereafter? Whenever I spoke to the plumbers about mitigation they consistently replied the mitigation team will take care of the work. Your explanation is no one was set up for any mitigation responsibilities until I would call for a repair.
JT Plumbing failed to provide a ****************** to us. I asked for a quote several times and never got one. They provided equipment to dry out the floor and failed to do anything more. The information sent to the insurance *** was insufficient to justify equipment being here more than 3 days. You failed to
return any of our calls. I have paid the company $1,150.04 which is the industry standard. I am requesting an updated invoice for $1,150.04, paid in full. I will be satisfied.

date: 7/17/23 full payment $23,050 priority repair service provided: repair leaking sewer pipe Lack of upfront information or providing a contract invoice receipt when making half of the payment and agreement. ***** had to ask for an invoice, received an invoice, in email, from the office the next day. The invoice was manipulated, ***** did not approve of exclusive membership nor was it mentioned, the original invoice was for 20 ft of sewer pipe and armored fittings. The next day ***** asked ******* (the original representative)about the exclusive membership on the invoice and he said it saved you $2000, asked about the footage of repair discrepancy and he said it was a standard repair size. The invoice does not show the membership saved us anything. Secondly, if they figured the repair to be 20 ft and we needed only 10 ft then we were overcharged on the repair. Thirdly, The invoice shows providing for concrete work for up to 144SF that wasn't needed and they replaced approximately 3 yds of stone (landscape gravel) which neither of 2 ************** matched with what the existing stone and inadequate replacement of mulch fabric under the stone. Landscapers were suppose to come and instead it was the plumbers doing the finish work. There is quite a difference in price between concrete work and 3 yds of stone. The fittings on the hydrant was damaged during the sewer repair and it took 3 days for it to be repaired, at our inconvenience and 3 times to get it right. ***** spoke with ******, the owner, on the phone after receiving the first invoice, he said he would look at the discrepancies with the invoice. ***** asked about a senior discount and he said he would look into it. When ****** was asked when he show up here two days later, he hadn't done anything. Our signature is not included on any of these invoices provided, Second receipt has our signature is provided on "app over phone" we did not sign on a second invoice since first was inaccurate.Business Response

The plumbing company did not do what we asked to regarding restoring the landscape over the plumbing repairs, doing what they wanted to regardless. Also same company offered to refund " membership fees" and pay for a real landscaper services to restore area and driveway. They have done neither.Business Response

subject: complaint #********Hi,
In regard to JT Plumbing and Restoration (JT) they have not done everything we have asked. They have called the landscaper that billed them and said they were going to pay them weeks ago and the landscaper called JT and asked about payment last week since they have not received anything?
JT has yet to admit any wrongdoing! They're commenting they keep in contact with me that is not so.
