We got a bill from Bunting for ****** and have had no luck finding a resolution. We have sent multiple emails and attempted to call numerous times. We had our debit card stolen and we were a bit behind and our service was cancelled. I called and payed the amount in full which was $****** and this was processed on April 14 and posted on April 29. We had service reinstated and did not receive a trash container for a month they are wanting to charge us for as well. They are saying the $****** was not paid even though we have sent multiple bank statements and have heard nothing back. As of June 2024 it is showing we owe $*****. When you add ****** to ***** the total is $******.I am not arguing we owe the ***** but there is no way we are paying again for the $****** that has already been processed. We have not made any payments because our trash has not been picked up in over a month and we did not want to pay the remainder and cancel our service until this is all resolved.Business Response

Unfortunately at the time the customer sent over payment confirmation emails- Mountain High had bought out Bunting and the email was no longer in use and inactive (which they would've seen an auto response to each time- & to communicate further a different email and phone number) that of which had not been done- only further emails to the inactive autoresponse email address.
With the BBB complaint notification- we were able to open in the inactive email and his communication and verify payment information that had been provided and the platform it was located on.
The customer's complaint and payment has been identified as PAID in the amount originally disputed and described: $244.68
We have reached out to ******* **** by email and phone for update in status and further resolve.
This customer has not be previously or currently turned over to collections at any point in time.Initial Complaint

I started trash and recycling services with Bunting Disposal on 2/8/2024, with Thursdays being my trash pick up day and recycling being every other week. From day 1, I have had to call Bunting Disposal every single week to remind them to come pick up my trash. After three straight weeks of this, on Friday (2/23/2024), I called Bunting and told them that I would not be continuing services past the month I had already paid for. Before hanging up with *******, I confirmed that I would have services for two more weeks. ******* confirmed that I would have services for two more weeks, 2/29/2023 and 3/7/2023. Shortly after the phone call, I received an email from Bunting indicating my account was canceled as of 2/29/2024. I replied to the email to confirm once again that I would have trash through 3/7/2023; I receive a reply confirming I would. On 2/29/2023, neither my trash or recycling was picked up. I had to call again to remind them to complete the service I had already paid for. They sent someone Friday, 3/1/2023. This time, they took both of my trash bins along with them. I called Bunting asking why they took my trash cans and was told it was a miscommunication, and was promised they would have my cans returned that same day. My trash cans were not returned that day. Since Bunting is not open on weekends, I had to wait until Monday to call again. This time ******* told me that he would personally deliver my trash cans. I did not get my trash cans Monday. I called again Tuesday, and was told I would get them Tuesday, I did not. I called Wednesday, and I finally go them late afternoon Wednesday, 3/6/2023. I put all the trash that I had to pile up in my garage into the trash cans, hoping my trash would be picked up 3/7/2024 - It was not. I called Bunting 3/7/2024 asking them to pick up my trash. I called again 3/8/2023 asking the same. It is now 3/9/2023 and my trash is still sitting at the edge of my drive way. I can provide emails confirming all of this.Business Response

It is unfortunate to find out about this problem as an ongoing issue and we apologize for all inconvenience this
has caused the resident and does not meet or represent the standards of our company. Typically when a route
issue occurs 2 or more times it is brought to our route manager and even the owner. For this instance it was clear
it had not been and we sincerely apologize and take responsibility for the miscommunication and its corresponding effect that occurred.
We are more than willing to refund ************************* residence for a whole months of service given the trouble.
If our customers are having trouble in the future it would be advised to reach out to upper management and
overseers that could be of further assistance and investigate with resolution and correction.Customer Answer

I originally called Bunting Disposal to cancel their service effective August 31st, 2023.I was told at that time that I needed to call back on the last day of August to confirm the cancellation of service and to request a refund of the payment that had already been sent via ********** for the month of September, 2023. I called back again on August 31st and was told that the $17. payment received by Bunting for September would be refunded to me as I had already cancelled all service effective August 31st. I have not received any refund and have called Bunting Disposal once again to be told that I will not be receiving a refund for September despite the fact that I have cancelled service effective August 31, 2023.Business Response

Account Number: ******
Balance: $0
Notes:
***************************** account with ******************** is settled and considered in goodstanding with no overpayment or underpayment of services.
We had removed the advancement billing and credited the account +$17.00 to make her bill $0.00
We have not received any checks post dated 08/04/2023 for August.
Account Ledger:
Last Payment Received 08/04/2023 - for August ********************* Date Serviced- Wed August 30th (Customer Had our Equipment through September 19th)
Account Paid & Serviced through August but customer is had demanded a refund. She was serviced through what she
was paid to upon cancellation date. We never received a payment for that month and took it off her bill. Please see the
above attachment with account notes and corresponding ledger. We kindly explained to her if we receive a check for that
month in the mail we we would void check, not endorse it, and could send it back to her if received. Unfortunately I believe
the customer is confused with our billing cycles and that she actually owed us but with her cancellation we removed the bill
entirely and no further payments came in, nor were endorsed.
It's unfortunate with this misunderstanding. If any additional information is needed other than the attachment with account
overview, notes, and ledger please let us know.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: I did not send written checks to this business. I paid thru my bank using electronic payments known as "bill pay" and it was sent monthly at the end of each month for the next month. Bunting personnel stated on the phone that the last electronic check received from my bank was for the month of September not August. I called Bunting Disposal the third week of August to cancel all future service and asked that the $17. payment that they admitted having received from my bank be returned to me.

Banks send us checks by mail that have already been withdrawn from bank accounts - rarely it is possible they can be lost in transit or mail.
It will be restated as mentioned prior, we will not be refunding as we did not receive payment for September nor endorsed any payment.
If the customer would like to verify with her bank she may search their records with a given check number and their documentation of the check being endorsed and provide us those records.
The last check Bunting Disposal received was check #**** received 08/04/23 that paid the customer through August. Customer called to initate cancellation September 1st finalizing on the September 12th.
She was serviced and held our equipment longer than the term of payment and asking for a refund.
Her September invoice was balanced to zero without charge or payment received. No refunds will be issued regarding this matter until proof of payment with a check number and proof of our endorsement beyond her August payment is provided.
