Plumbing visit on 6/14/2023. Request: fix leaky outside spigot in order to allow for successful swamp cooler pipe extension. Brandon did not know anything about the outside spicket (which is a plumbing subject area and described as the area of concern when scheduling service) and literally said to me "it will be fine to leak," not what I'd expect from a knowledgeable plumber. He tried to tighten it unsuccessfully, yet less than a week later it was easily tightened by an untrained plumber and no longer leaks. Nor did it need the entire part to be replaced by cutting into a wall as he diagnosed and was why I said not to fix it that day. In addition, he pretty much talked me out of replacing it because he didn't want to do it, which was good because it wasn't necessary but he clearly did not know how to address the simple leak. In order to make the best use of the travel time, after declining inappropriately recommend service for the outside spigot, we decided to address the bathtub overflow. He spent 2 hours here because he had no idea how to install the overflow plug (trimmed it multiple times, cursing, and giving the impression he did not want to be working saying things like "everything always takes too long," or "it hasn't been a smooth day"). I am a long time knowledgeable home owner and this technician should not be out servicing homes even for the most basic of jobs, which both of these were. This was a simple < 1 hour fix that was not diagnosed properly or resolved. Before starting, the technician was told it had been replaced and wasn't plugging but never asked if we had original pipes and took exceptionally long to replace this part only to ask if we had originally pipes and then tell us the root cause was not the part but the original pipes corroding. Lastly, an erroneous invoice was sent for more than agreed upon amount. I am happy to pay for the part, but decline to cover the "labor." Company refuses to discount the bill for poor service
