Took RV into Bear Country to fix an electrical problem before heading out on trip. Was given a clean bill of health so never doubted, first night out our electric cord melted due bad receptical on RV. Ended fixing my self in North Carolina. I mentioned this and told that I was just a complainer. Never offered any compensation.

A year ago you gave us a hurtful bad Google review. And we responded. This was explained for you back then and it is the same now. You never asked us to do the work mentioned as was explained in the google review. This was a problem after the fact different from what you brought it in for. We could not have foreseen something like that. You had an additional issue when you were out on your trip and are just looking for someone to blame. Maybe just take responsibility for yourself. All you are doing is trying to cause trouble. So let’s talk about your behavior and your locksmith business and how you are being dishonest. So since this is a year past and you are still trying to be hurtful maybe your customers need to know who they are dealing with. And let’s get the BBB involved. If this is not handled we will handle this through our attorney and the court.

Not trying to be hurtful, just stating a fact. We came in with a problem and left with same problem. You may be great at some things, but not everything. We have heard from several people who have mentioned they took there RV's in to you with similar results. Just try a little harder to serve your customers.

This is a copy of the invoice of what was done to customers vehicle. This was actually done two years ago. Customer had originally gave us a 5 star good review. We were asked to look at a cord he had replaced. We looked at and did exactly what he asked to be done. He also had a few other issues that we looked at after talking with him. He was given choices to be made and made his own choices. We cannot be responsible for those choices or for things that are going on internally which are beyond our control. Hind sight is always 20/20 as far as choices made or having more work done. And a person has to be responsible for their own choices and not blame other people. And after things happened that were because of work he had done or choices he made, he changed his 5 star review to a negative 1 star nasty review. COPY OF GOOGLE REVIEW FROM JAN 19 2020 Mike gave our RV a clean bill of health after checking out our electrical problems. I really thought he had fixed it. On a trip we took a couple of weeks later the same problem with our 30amp cord happened again. The only item he replaced was 1 battery. I won't say how much he charged but I fixed the problem myself on the road in under an 1/2 hour at a cost of under $25.00. that was 10% of labor he charged. I don't mind paying for the service if it is fixed correctly. I like dealing with small business if they are good. His comment was I probably complain about everything. And I believed him. Bear Country Colorado, LLC.- ******** ** ****** ******* (owner) Jan 22, 2020 Thank you ***** for editing your initial, good 5 start review, making changes on it to create a story which isn’t true. We appreciate the opportunity to freshly respond to your review and to allow us the chance to help others understand the situation better. You make it sound like it was a cut and dry issue. It was not. You are also a business owner, a locksmith. So I think it is important for a business to state what actually happened. Let me start by saying that as we told you before in person, we are sorry you had an issue with your shore line outlet. However, let’s get the facts straight because posting slander and untrue statements just because things didn’t go your way are illegal. First, you showed up at our facility without your RV. You told us that the house batteries would not hold a charge overnight. You told us that other shops had worked on this issue and the one sold you new batteries. You said you were still having issues. You then remained at our shop for at least another half hour of our time complaining and bad mouthing the other shops you had been to. You had also had power seats installed at another shop and that shop caused damage. You said you weren’t sure whether the issues were related. After listening to you our gut feeling was, if you were going to bad mouth all the other shops, you would most likely do that to us as well. We encouraged you to return to the shop that did the work for you under warranty. A few days later you showed up here with your RV with no notice and wanted us to look at the battery issue. You said that you were not allowed back at the shop that did the previous work. So we did you the FAVOR of charging your batteries, letting the RV sit here and we confirmed the power loss for you. We removed the batteries and tested them. One was ok. The other was very bad. We called you and suggested you pick up the battery and return it to the other shop. You declined. You asked us to price a battery. We gave you three price options to choose from. You chose the most expensive battery. You authorized the purchase of that battery. You knew the costs all along. We installed the battery and tested the battery for two days. We called you to let you know it was done. You asked us then to look at your shore line outlet. You said the extension cord had been damaged on the end and does the outlet look ok. We looked at exactly what you asked. It looked to be fine. We did not take apart the RV itself to look at the inside wiring of the RV, where you later had your issue. The issue that may have been caused by another shop when they did electrical work in your RV. We did not do the damage, nor do we have a crystal ball to predict internal electrical damage. nor can we be held responsible for it. The issue that happened on your trip was because our shop was only asked to look at your battery and your outlet. We were not asked to open the RV and do internal electrical repairs. Had we been asked to do that we most certainly would have. If there were internal electrical issues, we would never have sent you on your way with a clean bill of health for your RV, we would have repaired the issues. We had about 6 or more hrs in your RV. We charged you only 2 hrs. That was more than fair. You then mailed us back the outlet after your trip to show me the wiring inside the RV wall was bad. Then you again showed up at our shop to complain in person. We went over it all again for you. You still did nothing but complain. You complained about all the other shops and about us. You complained so much they will not allow you back. I did address that with you. And now we are here. It is sad that people have to create untrue stories so someone else is always wrong. And to the point that they are no longer welcome at certain repair shops. Your profile looks like someone who gets a lot of points for doing reviews. Hmmmm. Points for doing reviews. We take our reviews very seriously and are having this review investigated for defamation. COPY OF CUSTOMER INVOICE OF REPAIRS House battery losing power. With house battery disconnect on batteries lose power. After several days however, after testing batteries, one of the two tested low and bad. Tried charging batteries for 24 hrs. One battery regained voltage and load tested good. The other would not get above 9 volts and load tested bad. Tested 12 volt system with our power source and tested to be good. Inspected shore line plug connection by removing and visually inspecting. All is good. Carbon monoxide detector worked on our power source. Customer noted it was 5 years old and he may choose to replace.Consulted customer regarding batteries. Tried to locate 2 6 volt deep cycle batteries that would fit his RV. All were too tall. Customer chose to replace only the one bad battery with a NAPA equivalent deep cycle battery. NOTE: Customer's bad battery was used as a core for the new battery. NOTE: Installed on Friday, let set for weekend. Tested Monday AM. Batteries holding good. THESE WERE THE THINGS DONE. CORD HE REPLACED NAD MENTIONED WAS LOOKED AT. HE ALSO HAD A FEW OTHERS ISSUED WE LOOKED AT. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WORK HE HAD DONE HIMSELF OR BY OTHER SHOPS. OR FOR INTERNAL PROBLEMS THAT CANNOT BE SEEN. DAMAGES AND COSTS FROM THAT IS NOT FROM ANYTHING WE DID OR DIDNT DO. HE HAS DONE THIS TO ALL THE OTHER SHOPS HE HAS BEEN TO AND IS NOT ALLOWED BACK AT ANY OF THEM. THE TRUTH SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. HE IS NO LONGER ALLOWED HERE EITHER. AND IF HE DOESNT TAKE THESE HURTFUL LIES AND COMMENTS DOWN, IT WILL BECOME A LEGAL ISSUE. END OF STORY.
