  I had an online tax preparation appointment scheduled March 31 2024 with ****** Jackson for my business and personal tax preparation for 2023. She failed to respond to the online meeting as I waited for at least a half hour. Afterwards, I was instructed to upload my documents to the website portal because she couldnt make it to the meeting. A draft was created in the company portal. Afterward, as time went on.. along with late filing penalties I simply got Email responses stating I am working on it. Months went by with no additional responses or contact in regards to my tax preparation. I ended up contacting a new tax prep service and had my taxes done with them. ****** finally sent me prepared tax documents June 9. Interestingly this was just after I paid for and used a different tax preparation service using the same portal That Jackson elite uses. I alerted her that I had gone with another tax preparation service and would no longer be in need of her services. She told me that I wasted her time and sent me a $350 invoice. I just paid it to be done with this person! I think this might be the worst company Ive ever worked with in my life!

  Thank you for your review. However we have no record of you ever formally scheduling a tax appointment because our calendar was conpletely booked on March 31, 2024. Appointments are provided on a first come first serve basis and simply uploading documents to the portal does not guarantee timely filing without a scheduled appointment  with a preparer. Despite not scheduling a formal appointment and providing S Corp financials after the actual due date of March 15th we still prepared your returns only to be told after the fact that you and sought other services. Our fees are based on preparation and time spent preparing your forms. ******* preparing an S Corp return and a personal 1040 form based on the documentation  you provided you notified us after the fact that you had sought other services. You were billed for the time spent preparing your returns. We wish you all the best in finding a new preparer and hope you find a suitable fit that can accomodate your late arrangements going forward.

  It must also be noted that March 31, 2024 would have been outside of business hours as it was a Sunday and we do not accept any appointments on Sundays. If you would have arranged an actual appointment during business hours you could have been guaranteed a meeting with a tax preparer to review your case. However, you simply uploaded your documents to our portal, which we granted access to you from the prior year as a courtesy, and assumed you would receive priority over other clients who actually scheduled appointments during business hours.

  It is also noted that the consumer could not properly reference the preparer he is alleging provided the service. There is no preparer named "******" at our business which further proves the consumers lack of effort in verifying the service and following appropriate protocol to ensure timely services and filing. * Corp returns are due to the *** for filing on March 15th and personal returns are due April 15th and documentation received after March 15th for either return are not guaranteed timely filing based on our customer capacity during tax season which is our busiest time of year. The consumer was offered to have an extension filed for the personal return but an extension could not be filed for the * Corp return as we did not receive notification of his interest to utilize our services until April 5, 2024. At that time he was notified an extension would be filed for the personal return but we could not file an extension for his * Corp because it was already past the due date and * Corp extensions cannot be filed with the *** past March 15th per *** rules.
