Bigger Pockets is great.When I signed up a year ago I asked for an adjustment after I signed up. They made the adjustment and thanked me.After a year I decided to not auto renew.They asked why.I said I was ready to retire.- I got my full refund within 24 hours.Following Bigger Pockets advice I split $70k net profit. A bit too much action for me.Bigger Pockets is made up with fine people. Great Padcasts. If you sign up you should consider some of their live presentations. I know they are dedicated with healing - oooops, helping people!I believe they have over 2 million members on a business social platform.Of course Bigger Pockets has no way of completely controlling such a group..PS:This is just an aside.- I was wondering how a Bigger Pockets member seeking a loan lost money. They have banned me from their website without any justification! I have played by the rules and have asked many times for someone to look into or explain what happened, with no response. Is this discrimination because we have a similar business? I am not sure, but I am sure that this is happening to other people. Horrendous experience!BiggerPockets, Inc. Response

I have sent a dozen emails in the past year asking for someone to contact me and explain why I am being banned, with no reply. I spent a lot of time writing "blogs" for the site; some being pretty popular. The paradox is that they keep the articles up but do not let me interact with anyone. I am sure I am not the only one, and many complaints will follow after mine. And I am still getting this msg: Permissions Error: You have been banned from the messaging system. Please contact an administrator if you feel this is incorrect.Review from Erika F

The site itself is great and so are a lot of the people. Unfortunately trolls do proliferate here. A necessary evil of the internet world that it may be, I just think a site where people are sharing their identifying information, that there should be an expectation of better behavior.BiggerPockets, Inc. A few weeks ago, I posted a question on the ** forum for help in finding financing to buy a rental property. This man approached me on LinkedIn, which I thought was odd, but I guessed he saw my post on the forum. The first thing I did was attempt to find him as a lender on **, which I did. I felt a level of comfort in this. I then searched him name to see if anyone had done business with him or had any comments about him. I found a thread where someone else had also inquired about hima year agobut there were no responses. This was very unfortunate for me. It also ended up being a very costly experience for me. Ultimately, the conman took my money and then disappeared. Bigger Pockets, you portray your business as a trusted resource for both the new and savvy investor, but you cannot do this unless you have vetted your lenders! Can anyone with a pulse and an email address pose as a lender? If so, I would have liked to have been aware of this. Do you check them out at all? If not, you NEED to tell us! Promulgate a disclaimer that you have not bothered to verify them at all and that the investor should enter into business at their own risk. Yes, I should have scoured the internet for many days checking this criminal out, but you, **, are not blameless here. BECAUSE I thought you were a trusted resource, I felt a level of comfortable engaging in communication with this man that I should not have had! When I contacted Support, I got this canned email...Sorry to hear about your experience. We'll check this user's account and take action if they done something against our site rules. I would suggestJumping on to our forums (http://www.biggerpockets.com/forums) and post your questions there on what to do with this situation. I think you will find some really rich, and helpful advice from our community."Are you kidding me?! Thank you, ******************--super unhelpful. Thank you for your feedback, and we are so sorry for the experience you had. We do vet all of our lenders that advertise directly on our website, however, for the remaining 2.5 million members we have we hope our customers will take the responsibility of doing research on the person or company of interest, especially when finances are involved. We do have disclaimers on the site and in our Terms of Use that do state this as well, and I'm sorry if you may have missed them. We will work harder to make sure that our customers know our disclaimers, and we welcome you to reach out to our support team again to get more clarity on who this member was so we can look into them. I was a customer for 5 years and the company change the prices, cancelled my subscription and told me I had to re-subscribe at the higher rate. I spoke to customer support who said they would honor the original price for my annual subscription because I was a long time customer. After I asked for clarification, they replied just pay and sign up for the annual subscription at the full cost. After further trying to have the company clarify they changed and said they were only going to honor the price for one year they it would increase. This is deceitful, They said they would honor the annual subscription per year just to get my credit card then increase the price the following year without clarifying payment terms.BiggerPockets, Inc.
