I have has an ongoing issue since I brought my car in to be serviced in March 2025 for a noise and thump I was noticing. When I picked up my car my a/c wasnt functioning like it was prior to me dropping it off(perfectly) I contacted ******** and asked what had happened because it it wasn't like this prior. She denied any wrong doing. Brought car back again they said needed air compressor but I had a new one installed 5 months prior but they installed a new one, she said it was blowing ice cold, I picked up my car and noticed it still wasn't running all the time. Again contacted ******** and brought it in again where they said my ambient sensor was missing and they didn't produce that part anymore. I brought my car in several more times for my car to be misdiagnosed. The most recent visit I had asked them to see if they could tell me if the issue was a wheel bearing or differential and to look at my a/c because ********* said clutch wasnt engaging. I dropped it off in morning, never got a phone call or update on my car, I tried contacting ***** ***** and other staff but they only talk to you via text and I never heard from them. I got **** back to *** when they were closing and the *** said ambient sensor was replaced and a/c is functioning as it should be. I asked how they got sensor if ******** said no longer produced, he said he wasn't sure all work that had been done but a/c is working. I even clarified that a/c was working and he said yes. I started car and a/c wasnt working at all now. I went back in and told them I was upset for then lying to me. I was told to take my car elsewhere to get fixed. I then took my car to ***** where they told me there was no freon in my car and it cost me $400 to get freon due to *** removing freon. I told them I want reimbursed, ******** even told me if they did remove it they would give me refund, but they are now trying to say there is a leak when they tested my car 2 different times and there was no leak. I just want my $Initial Complaint

I had bought a brand new 2022 Tiguan Volkswagen car. When I was looking for a car theytold me the car I ended up buying was the only one available, so I purchased the car. In hindsight I think they sold me a car they knew had problems because Im 83 years old and they could take advantage of me. The check engine light kept coming on displaying that it needed oil with only 1500 miles from my last oil change. This has become an issue and now every 1500 hundred miles I have to drive to the dealership so they can top off my oil with a quart of oil. Recently, Its now every 1200 miles that I have to drive for another quart of oil. I have had to leave my car frequently for three oil consumption tests and many other test with no resolution. I have had to take the car in around 9 times and this is very disruptive to my life. The dealership and Volkswagen said there is nothing they can do. I have looked up this problem and there is a class action lawsuit against Volkswagen with my model burning oil. I have taken the car in for all my services with the dealership that I bought it from. The dealership is not willing to help me get another car and help compensate with a similar price in what I paid for my original car. I would like your help. I need to get another car but will take a loss on the car I purchased but its a lemon. I am too old to be dealing with this kind of car trouble with a brand new car. I think they are waiting for my warranty to run out and then all of the expenses on this car will fall on me.Initial Complaint

On September 13, 2024 I went in for an alignment on my 2024 VW GTI. The service advisor, *******, and I agreed to a a discounted price of $199.99 - $20.00 = $179.99 + tax. When I came to pick up my vehicle, there was a "miscellaneous charge" of $25.54 that was not disclosed prior to me picking up the vehicle post service. I paid a total of $197.77. The service advisor had brought the original negotiated discount from $20.00 to $30.00, before I had even gotten to the shop, unaware of their (misc charges). The taxes were listed as $2.25. The service advisor tried to tell me that the "misc charge" is a shop charge and that it's a state law. After I disagreed with him, he changed it to miscellaneous parts like windshield washer fluid... which I never asked for. The service manager was not available and so he brought in a sales manager. He wasn't helpful whatsoever and tells me that dealership fees are state law that can't be changed. These fees were brought on after the fact and were not disclosed ahead of time. I would not have accepted these fees had I known of them before the service.Initial Complaint

I filed a complaint about Volkswagen a bit ago. I was asked by them to wait to respond to you, until I brought my car back in. Of course, I waited and yet again there is nothing they can do.I got into contact with Emich and they refused to help. Therefore I contacted Volkswagen. This was after I took my car in to be fixed and they said there was nothing they could do. The car won't work well in *******, but I am stuck. When I bought the car I was also guaranteed 3 years of free charging. That has gone away as well. Emich and Volkswagen have said they cannot do anything , just a promise they cannot help with. I couldn't afford the car without free charging, which is why I bought it. I talked to another dealership and they informed me that even though I paid the price for a 2024 car and was told I am getting a 2024 car I was given a 2023. They have stopped selling the 2023 due to almost ******* cars being recalled and problems with all of the cars. I was told I was buying a new car, but now looking into this, the car was delivered to the dealership in Jan 2023 and I bought the car in May 2024. It was an 18-month-old car.The car has been in the shop 3 times and every time they say it doesn't work well, but there is nothing they can do. They even told me if I wanted the battery to work I could not drive over 65. I am now living in ****** and I cannot drive to *******(122 miles), without charging 3 times to get here.I drive 11 miles to work and my battery drops 30% going to an from work. Therefore I cannot drive anywhere without charging and I no longer have free charging.I asked them just to give me the 2024 that they promised me when I bought the car. When I found the receipt from the window I realized they charged me 2024 pricing on a 2023.I got very screwed by Emich.Initial Complaint

I was promised three years of free charging. Electrify america told us they canceled the account due to being worried about fraud. They told us we need to call VW and get a new code to access the 3 years free charging and to reimburse me for the cost of my charging. VW just said to call electrify and will not help further. I would not have bought the car without the free charging.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2019 Volkswagon Jetta pre-certified vehicle from Emich Volkswagon on November 27th 2021.In late August 2021 the air conditioner stopped working. I took the car into ******** Volkswagon for a diagnosis. The technician sent me video of concerns under the car. The entire front fan condenser was not attached correctly. It was not attached to the radiator core support and everything was falling free and caused damage to the condenser and multiple hoses. The bracket for the ** line were not attached correctly, none of the ** lines were secured. I took the vehicle back to Emich Volkswagon. They refuse to cover the entire cost of $4670, but offered to pay 50%. I expect Emich to take full responsibility of the repairs and cover 100% of the cost, since this vehicle was sold with parts of the engine not connected properly!Although I agreed to buy this vehicle "as is" per the disclosure agreement, I believe Emich completely misrepresented this vehicle when they sold it, violating Section C of the "Disclosures Required as Part of a Motor Vehicle/Powersports Vehicle Sale" document. C. NOTICE Fraud or misrepresentation in a motor vehicle/powersports vehicle sale is punishable under ******** Law. This applies to both buyer and seller I hope Emich will take ownership of their mistake.Business Response

I had my car towed to Emich. The technician replaced a speed sensor. Upon picking up the vehicle. The cars lights no longer worked. I brought the issue up to the business and was told that it was not the shops issue. It was my issue, even though the car was in the shops possession the entire time. I was then informed for anything to be fixed ( after being told they dont have a clue why its not working). That I would need to pay an additional 178 dollars per hour until they figure something out which could be 1-2000 hours of work. This all comes after having the technician pass the headlights in his 360 degree inspection. At this moment have no options to drive the car unless I allow them to charge me an undisclosed amount for something that occurred while in the shops possession.Business Response

His car was towed in for no start. He replaced the battery thinking that was the issue. We diagnosed and replaced the engine speed sensor. His headlights/daytime running lights were working when he dropped off and the technician checked them as working on the inspection. When he picked up, the lights werent working. He tried swapping out bulbs and that didnt work, so he put the old bulbs back in and brought the car in for us to look at, insisting that it was our problem since it wasnt that way when he dropped off. We re-inspected all of the work that we performed to be sure that it didnt have anything to do with it. As a goodwill gesture,we checked out the bulbs, wiring, headlight assemblies, fuses, faults, etc. We even swapped out headlight switches for him to see if that would have an effect. The front end has damage that he states is a couple years old. At this point, we determined that he must have an electrical issue that would require hour by hour extensive diagnosis. We explained that to him and he did not agree that he should have to pay it. Unfortunately, he has a 10 year old car with body damage to the front of the vehicle in which we have determined has an extensive electrical issue that was not caused by the battery replacement and/or wheel speed sensor. The vehicle probably needs a $1,500 repair, but we can't guarantee the outcome of that repair.
