I purchased wood flooring & installation from **********. Their third party contractor is Hom Solutions, *** for flooring installations. I immediately had suspicions that the very young installer assigned to my job had no experience installing solid 3/4" wood flooring. There were several glaring errors with the installation, so I contacted the business office of Hom Solutions to express my concerns. They were not receptive to my concerns, were rude, and argumentative. Once the installation was completed, I asked to have a representative of their company do an inspection. A few days after their inspection I received a call from Hom Solutions to tell me the job could not be repaired and must be completely removed and replaced due to the improper installation. Approximately, two weeks later they changed their mind and said it could be repaired. The District Manager from ********** also inspected and admitted he was not a flooring expert and said the contract gave Hom Solutions the option to repair/replace any defect. He did ask that I obtain two contractor bids for the job with specific reasons as to why the flooring could not be repaired, which I did. But, this was not a repairable problem, as the contractors that inspected the flooring submitted in their reports. The material was not re-usable, as it would be damaged during removal. Plus, the contract had been breached by Hom Solutions as the contract states "********** or Service Provider will complete the Services in a workmanlike manner" which was not done per the legal description of such. As of this date, eight months after I paid in full for the flooring **************** to install, ********** and Hom Solutions refuse to refund my initial cost plus the cost to remove the improperly installed flooring so that the job may be completed in the correct way. An offer made to me was for less than half of the cost to complete the job correctly. I do not believe this is a good faith reasonable offer to me.

    Dear **** J ******,
    ,
We understand your frustration regarding the challenges with your flooring installation, and we sincerely regret that the experience has not met your expectations.

To clarify, ********** is the contracting party in your purchase, meaning all payments, contracts, and resolutionsincluding any refunds or compensationare handled directly by **********. As the authorized installation provider, HOM Solutions follows the scope and direction set by **********, and we do not control the financial or contractual resolution process.

We are aware that *********** legal team is actively involved in reviewing your concerns. They have extended offers to address the situation, including compensation based on the contractor quotes you provided and an option for HOM Solutions to return for further repairs. We understand that you have declined both options.

While we do not have decision-making authority in this process, we remain committed to assisting ********** in working toward a resolution.

We will continue to follow this matter until it is fully addressed.

If you need further clarification on next steps, we encourage you to continue working with *********** customer care and legal teams, as they are responsible for managing the contractual terms and final resolution.

    Sincerely,
    ********

I booked carpet installation through ********** with Hom Solutions. The installers not only arrived hours later than the scheduled installation window, they incurred damage to my home and refused to accept responsibility, like other reviewers have already noted. During the job, they tripped the breaker for one of the rooms they were working in. They reset the breaker multiple times while working (I could tell because my Internet router was plugged into that circuit), but at some point the breaker became stuck in a permanently tripped state. To make matters worse, the crew could not answer any of my questions due to a severe language barrier (I don't speak Spanish). I believe any chance of determining exactly how they damaged my system disappeared when the crew left my house. I also believe any company that respects it's customers would attempt to make it right. However, they brusquely denied my claim outright, blaming my home's electrical system and denying any culpability.Any company that sets a foot in customers' homes needs to prioritize and respect the property of the customer, going out of the way to compensate damages. This company appears to be the opposite -- believing that there will be no consequences for damages caused either directly or indirectly. Please choose another company and help the free market work properly.

    Hi Kreg,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your carpet installation. Its clear that this situation was frustrating for you, and we understand your concerns.

Regarding the issue with the circuit breaker, our installation team uses standard tools like a carpet seaming iron, which typically do not overload a properly functioning electrical circuit. It's important to note that the electrical systems in a home can vary greatly, and occasionally, older or more sensitive circuits may trip under normal use. We always recommend ensuring that circuits are in good working order before installation begins, as this can help avoid issues like the one you encountered.

That said, we take all feedback seriously and are committed to improving our services. We would like to further investigate what happened and see if theres anything we can do to make this right. Please reach out to my team at ************************ with any further details and questions.

Thank you again for your feedback. We value your business and hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

    Best regards,
    HOM TEAM

If you trying to work as an installer for them dont do it. They will back charge you for random things that arent your fault and send you to collection agency. They will always believe customer lies before there own Installers. Also labor prices are very low. Not worth being a sub for them.

    HOM Solutions Inc

We take feedback seriously, but we also must address inaccuracies in your statements.
First and foremost, HOM Solutions follows a fair and transparent process for all charges and deductions. Any back charges are clearly communicated and only applied when there is clear evidence of installer error or failure to adhere to established protocols. We do not randomly back charge or send anyone to collections without legitimate cause. Our records show that any charges applied to you were directly related to documented issues.
Furthermore, we value both our customers and our installers. We investigate every situation thoroughly, considering both sides, before making any decisions. It is not true that we prioritize customer claims over the facts; we always rely on evidence, including photographs, documentation, and communication records.
Regarding labor rates, we pay competitive industry rates based on experience, quality of work, and market standards. The rates are clearly outlined in the contract every installer signs before beginning work with us. If you found the rates unsatisfactory, that is your personal decision, but it does not reflect unfair practices on our part.
We expect professionalism from all team members, including installers. We believe in creating a mutually respectful work environment where both parties are accountable.
If you have further concerns, you are welcome to discuss them directly with our team, but we will not tolerate false accusations or misrepresentations of our business practices.
    Sincerely,
    ******

I bought vinyl plank flooring from *********** who contracted install with HOM Solutions. I bought the flooring in mid-September and picked them up in early October (Oct 4th). From day 1, it's been a nightmare working with HOM Solutions and to-date, flooring is still not installed. I've decided to cancel and get refunded for the install instead of going forward with HOM Solutions. First install date was a complete no-show. Second install date included removing carpet but glue, underlayment foam, and tackboard was left all over the basement. They said the floor was too unlevel to install flooring and that they don't this that work so I would have to find a 3rd part contractor. Verified this with HOM Solutions and not just the contractor. Contracted a 3rd party to grind the entire basement floor to remove ******************* foam particles from the floor. Floor is ready for flooring install now. 3rd install date, different contractors came in and immediately seemed like they didn't want to work. Showed them where the vinyl flooring was in the garage and said "that's the first problem. It should be in the basement to acclimate." It's vinyl flooring that's been in my garage in ******** since October 4th. It's not real wood. It doesn't need to acclimate in the basement. It says so on the box. The installers said the floor isn't level enough and that they'd level it for $1,400. I told them I had a 3rd party do it and they did it well and that it was OK to lay down the flooring. And, that HOM Solutions initially said they didn't do floor leveling but now this team said they'd do it for an upcharge. The installer said it depends on the crew and that they'd do it for an upcharge. Ultimately feel this company isn't consistent, did a crappy job on the carpet removal, and the installers either don't want to work or try to scam you. They said themselves they get paid pennies for the job. I cancelled install with this company, got a refund, and laid the floor down myself.

I have never worked with a more terrible contractor. They caused multiple reschedules, subpar quality, zero customer service, and a horrible company to work with. They damaged my walls, left nails in my new carpet, didn't clean up their trash, AND their worker cut himself, left his blood stains on my bathroom sink counter, and wiped his dirty, ****** hands on a white towel. They didn't tell us and left. I am currently in the process of filing a lawsuit.

I would do ZERO stars if that was an option! This company has caused nothing but frustration. They are unreliable, limited communication, poor installers and just careless. They are mostly contracted through *********** so customers be ware. I can NOT give this company anything positive as to my experience.

NEVER AGAIN.........I currently have part of the tile removed in my kitchen and had to ask the installer to leave after he ruined part of my hand scraped custom wood floors that are not apart of my project! He began to get very anger when I told him I did not have more of that floor to replace the damage he had caused, I followed that up by saying even if we had extra, wood changes over the years and we never would be able to match the color. At this point I was getting very uncomfortable and had a friend at my house on my porch that came in to make sure I was safe. He told me that it was not his fault and no one would blame him for the damage, he said he know that was going to happen, when I asked why he started the project he continued to yell at me stating he wasn't getting a good vibe from me, this was not his fault, that he may break the rock work around my island too, once again I asked why he started this project. He then began to yell at me that I should have hired a CONTRACTOR.....I told him I thought he was a contractor, that turned into him being upset that the tile removal was messy, a lot of work, the material is heavy, my driveway is too steep, that discussing the project was not in the bid, that I do not understand construction/tile/removing flooring ect... he no longer wanted to talk about the damage he had caused he just continued to yell at me about everything else, he yelled at me for about 40 minutes.I had contacted the store/Homsoultions a couple weeks prior to him showing up because he called me and tried talking me out of replacing the tile in my home stating that it was a lot of work. I asked them to ensure he was confident in his abilities because he was causing me to question his abilities. I should have listened to my gut and never let him start. I talked to both the store and Homsolutions yesterday when this happened and was promised a call back yesterday, never heard anything back from anyone!!

Can't give a ZERO but this is the SHITTEY company that ive ever had to deal with .. If you ever hIre them your ****** ! **************** SUCKES . Was on the schedule for 6 weeks and no body showed up was told it was a computer GLICH!! Well I guess the computer is smarter than the human. Was told we would be compensated I'm SORRY but $100.00 wont pay for a motel room with a HANDYCAP WIFE . The installation workers was ok and when I told them what happened they were totally DISCUSSED. From my point of view If this is the best that ********** can do then your SCREWED dont hire them . Unfortunately we live in an area thats 2 hours from the modern world but THE COSTUMER SERVICE IS THE ********* THERE IS NO COSTUMER SERVICE ANYMORE... The person who measured our house LIED about what the carpet layers would do the contract company LIED and everything was ****** UP !! I took 2 weeks off work thought I was going to have to take one more week off but at the very last minute things worked out ..NO THANKS TO ********** OR HOM SOLUTIONS !! My advice is go with the smaller guy because the BIG CORPORATIONS DONT GIVE A RATS A** ABOUT YOU... As if yiu can tell ********** CAN KISS MY A** They will never get a major purchase form ** again and I will s*** on their REVIEWS as often as I can and also HOM SOLUTIONS who DOSENT CARE IF YOU HAVE A HANDICAP WIFE IN YOUR FAMILY. So on a scale of 1 to 10 ********** AND HOM SOLUTIONS gets a BIG ZERO IN MY REVIEW !! Dont get SCREWED by these SORRY B******* !! I never will agaib if wr had moer to choose from they would have been CANCELED on the ***** If you spend $10.000 on your house you should be treated like a KING not like a PIECE OF S*** !!!!

This should actually be zero stars but it wont let you get that far. These people are the absolute worst piles of c*** I have ever dealt with in my life. First, the installer was two hours late for a job to carpet three 10 x 10 bedrooms, I had all of the furniture moved, and most of the carpet removed from The bedrooms, he did do one bedroom and then told me that he couldnt do anymore because the previous carpet had been glued down. After I called the office, they told me that they could not proceed without doing an asbestos test on the glue. I told them that I was an industrial hygienist, who had tested thousands and thousands of asbestos containing samples of glue , they said they didnt care that it was state law upon further inspection into the state law. It is not a state law and not one other carpet installer that I talk to knew of this obscure law. They sent one weasel d*** skinny little b****** who did not want to do the job from the start Said they didnt send him with the proper stuff to do the job when he told me that he couldnt do it. I called his boss and he proceeded to tell me that that was a state law as an industrial hygienist. I called ******** the house is less than ************************************************************************ carpet since ****. They are contracted from ********** so theyre estimator from HOM came out and looked at the job and knew that the carpet was glued down. When I told the lady that they knew it was glued down. She told me that it would not be able to be done until they had a negative asbestos test from , an accredited lab This was after waiting for almost 3 months for them to get here in order for me to be able to have them do the work. I had to pay ********** in full upfront before they would even come out and do the estimate. So I owned the carpet and pad because I had fully paid for it but when the installer tried to leave, he was going to take the carpet never ever use them worst customer service
