    I ordered a sleeper sofa from a company that contracts out to Delivery by Design for final mile delivery service. I was told it could take up to 10 days for the sofa to arrive at their facility and at that point I could schedule the delivery. My sofa arrived on 9/22/2022 and I received a notification that it was ready to schedule delivery, only when I attempted to do so it wouldn't let me. I contacted the coordinator from the seller and they told me they hadn't received a delivery window yet either. I attempted to contact Delivery by Design several times before actually getting ahold of someone on 10/20/2022 and was told that they "don't have drivers heading my way" and until they do, nothing can be scheduled. This was not previously communicated, nor was it communicated that my delivery would have to align with drivers headed my way. This is a paid service and I didn't think I needed to be in a direction someone was already going in order to receive the item that I've paid for in full. My sofa has been sitting in a warehouse 2 hours away for a full month and now my options are to either wait an undetermined amount of time to see if it can be delivered or to find a way to get it myself. As someone who lives alone and doesn't have access to even a pickup truck, this becomes difficult as well as expensive. As there are no plans for delivery, as far as I'm concerned they're holding my property without intent to deliver. In addition to this, I'm concerned that the longer it stays there the more likely it is to become damaged which then goes into an entirely different set of issues regarding return, costs, and the fact that I'm still without a couch and would have to go through the order and build process again. Other reviews of the business siting unreasonably long waits for delivery times as well as damage to orders only further this concern. I do not trust this business to carryout my delivery.
