Sold me a used fridge, "fully inspected" for $170, and at my expense I picked it up, drove 15 miles home, down the tight stairs to a tight basement, plugged it in only to find it makes a constant loud buzz, and the light didn't work. Tried two more bulbs and turns out the wiring to the light didn't work. The owner came out the next day (nice, was quick) but then informed me "well, that's the compressor, there's no fixing that on a forty year old fridge. And hey, this is normal sound for a fridge". After hearing that was unactable to me, he became all huffy and rude, type of guy who can not handle an ounce of criticism, and said I was a "complainer" (huh?!, yes indeed, when given c*** for promised product, I complain) and then he left in a ****. Then they refused to come an remove it. They expected me to move it back out and deliver it back to them, after knowingly selling me a defective product. Turns out they don't inspect them at all, they just re-sell used stuff they buy and then come to your house to fix it if it's defective. Or, they tell you "it's fine". Beyond the wiring for the light, two people, without prompting, said "what's with that loud fridge, I thought you just bought that..?"Turns out I could get a new energy star efficient Frigidaire for only $40 more, and he was selling me a fridge for $170 that was 40 years old, so, knowingly ripping people off in that aspect as well.

On 8-29-24 customer bought a small (dorm size) Ge refrigerator. Our staff helped load the refrigerator into customers truck. Customer took the refrigerator home. On ****** Customer sent us an E-mail stating the refrigerator was making a loud noise and the the light inside the refrigerator did not work. Customer stated he changed the light bulb and it still did not work.
We immediately set up a service call the same day we received the complaint. We called Customer 30 min before arrival for the service call to which Customer did not answer. Upon arrival of the technician at the residence the Customer or no other resident was home. Our Tech advised the Customer that he would have contact the shop to set a service a call again since he was not home.
Customer had set up a second service call for the next day (9-6-24). When the Tech arrived and greeted the customer he was very aggressive and upset. Customer stated (I was told you guys look these appliances over before you sell them, Apparently this one was missed because the light bulb does not work and there is a loud noise coming from it.)  Once the Tech was taken to the refrigerator Customer stated it was not plugged in. Once Customer plugged the refrigerator in the tech could here the humm of the compressor running. The tech asked Customer if that was the sound he was stating was loud. Customer stated "Yes". The tech advised Customer that the humm of the compressor was a normal sound and that while a compressor is running the compressor is going to humm. The Tech advised Customer the sound of the compressor was normal. It was a low humm which was slightly amplified by the wall  which the fridge was sitting next to. Immediately Customer became very aggressive and started yelling that there is no way the sound is normal. He then stated his fridge upstairs humms a little bit when the compressor runs but not as loud as this one. The Tech explained the refrigerator is about 40 years old and the technology for that time is not advanced as newer refrigerators. This refrigerator has static cooling meaning there is no condenser fan to blow on the compressor. The compressor is also open and exposed as opposed to a newer style fridge that has a condensor fan that blows on the compressor and also newer fridges have the compressor enclosed behind either cardboard or a metal plate, which also cuts down on the noise of the compressor running. Customer did not agree with the Tech had stated and again became very upset. He started yelling that the fridge does not work right its loud and the light does not work. The tech could see Customer was very upset and rather then continue with Customer, The tech stated (it seems you are very upset and have had a bad experience, I think it might be better if we just issue a refund for your refrigerator so you can have your money back and we can have our refrigerator back. Customer continued to yell and stated he didn't want a refund he wanted the fridge fixed. Again the Tech told Customer there was nothing to fix for the sound of the compressor as it was a normal sound. As for the light the tech stated since Customer was already upset over the sound of the fridge it would be a waste of time to look at the light since it seemed the best option at this point was to refund the customer.
Customer then stated "Fine refund the fridge and come pick this up". The Tech left and stated for Customer needed contact the shop to set up a day he was avaible for  the refund.
******** then started sending very vulgar E-Mails demanding we pick up the fridge this very moment and give him his money back. We replied to Customer that we could pick the the fridge up on 9-9-24 and that since we did not deliver the fridge  (He had taken the fridge from our shop) that he need to put the fridge outside in the driveway and our delivery team would come get the fridge and issue him a refund check. Customer sent several E-mails threatening us and demanding that we come get the fridge this very instant. We again advised Customer we had several other deliveries scheduled and that the earliest we could get come get the fridge was 9-9-24. We also Advised Customer he could bring the fridge back at anytime during business hours and we could issue him a refund check.

After several more E-mails from Customer he was finally able to agree upon 9-11-24 to have the fridge picked up. The fridge was picked up and check issued to Customer. Once the fridge was brought back to the shop it was found that the only issue with the light bulb was that it was not screwed in all the way. Please see attached pictures of the light working. The refrigerator cools and works excellent. it has since found a new home with another customer.
